SUNG FROM THE HEART BLOG HOP

Rupa Shevde has designed a FABULOUS Stamp Set called Sung From the Heart.  Oh - please check it out here!  The images are a great size for cards or scrapbook pages.  There are song titles that can be paired with the images or used alone.  Here is my card:

I've used Gina K's Ocean Mist, Innocent Pink and White cardstocks, cut out the bird, popped up the wing and tail then used a little string on the heart,  a Cuttlebug for the tag, and put on a few pearls for a super quick card.

Check out these for more inspiration and then create a card with this stamp set and post it to the Mr. Linky on Gina K's Blog. On Feb 2nd, she will randomly chose a winner to receive any set they want by Rupa Shevde!

STAMP TV CENTER STAGE SPOTLIGHT TEAM INSPIRATION HOP

It's time for another GinaK CenterStage Spotlight Team Blog Hop!
Each artist was asked to design their project by drawing inspiration from these photos of the AMAZING Christmas Cookie Bouquet the CSS Team sent to Gina's DT Coordinator Jessica Fick:

It has been so cold here in East Texas -- one day it was 10 degrees!  Good Grief I've lived here almost 30 years and it has NEVER been that cold, so with inspiration for Jessica's cookie bouquet, I made this box to take to the office for a little encouragement for the ladies who work for us. This will sit beside our coffee and hot water in our break room.  As cold as it is suppose to be, I'll be refilling this often!

Gina K has a tutorial on how to make lovely decorator boxes from kleenex boxes here.  I made this one just a little shorter. FUN, FUN project thanks to Gina's instructions.

Stamp:  Rupa Shevede's Warm and Wonderful
Paper:  GKD Pure Luxury White, and misc. dp
Other:  Glitter Pen,  Copic markers,  ribbon, cuttlebug

My next project was a card.  I took my inspiration from the colors -- Hey, can you tell I like pink and blue?  LOL

Stamps:   Rupa Shevde's Warm Winter Wishes
Paper:  Melisssa Francis
Other:  Vintage Ribbon from my favorite vendor at Brimfield's (mass.),button, cuttlebug, glitter on the little hearts on the inside

Now finish the hop with inspiration from these -- all are outstanding designers!!!

The second was a sketch challenge.

Cold, Cold Card Making Day

We don't get hardly ANY snow ever, but we do have cold damp days.  Today is one of those -- Tonite it is suppose to get to 16.  Now for you up North that's not very cold, but for us in East Texas -- we are not prepared!  It is a hoot to go to the grocery store -- the shelves are bare of bread and milk --- people here think it will be too cold to get out so they stock up!  It's probably hilarious to some -- we are such sissies!  Here are a couple of my cards I've made up since it's too cold to go anywhere.

Stamps: GKD Festive Labels, Nina Brackett's Elegant Post
Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White, Sweet Corn, Smoky Slate cardstock, Cosmos Cricket dp
Other: Cuttlebug butterfly, grey ink, ribbon

This one was made for a friend whose husband is in hospice care.  He is only 40 with two little boys (4 and 2). You can read her blog here.  Erin and Layne are such sweet people.

Stamps: Nina Brackett's Lovely Shelf and Vintage Borders
Paper: Gina K Designs Chocolate Kiss, Ivory, Sweet Corn Cardstock
Other: misc ribbon, pearls, brown ink, Cuttlebug
I embossed with clear powder the Vintage Border on sweet corn
