Creative Belli Challenge - Sewing!!

Ok, guys - the challenge for us is to do some sewing or stitching on your project -- NO excuses --- you can use faux stitching!  That is what I did in my card.  I do enjoy sewing on cards, but not everyone has a sewing machine.  I have a wonderful stitching stamp from Gina K Designs called "In Stitches" by Tami Mayberry.  It is a stamp set that has 12 different faux stamp stitches.  You could even use a pen for faux stitching.  -- We would love to see what you create.

Here is mine

Everyone is welcome to play along - why don't you challenge a friend?!

Sister Challenge -

My sweet sister, Debbie and I trade off challenges with each other.  For this challenge she gave me something she called "Mystery Challenge".  In the mail she sent this new(to me) product called Color Infusions Memory Thread - wow- can you do a lot with this stuff!  It is very soft and wiry, but holds its shape well.

Here is what it looks like:

Check out their website for some inspiration:   www.dmc-usa.com

She sent me three colors, but DMC makes lots and lots of colors!  I've got a couple of more projects in mind, but here is the first to meet her challenge.
The stamp set is from Gina K. Designs called Oh Boy!  It has a train, truck, boat, helicopter, rocket and lots of other stamps and sentiments.  I made the background paper with two of the stamps and some embossing glitter; colored with copics; used glossy accents on the port holes and wrapped the new memory thread around a pencil.

Thanks you, sweet sister for the challenge!!

Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Why don't you make a project with an animal stamp?  Any will do - remember the goal of the Creative Belli Challenge is to use is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments!  Mine on this card was the brad and the felt flower petals I found in my "scrap embellishment" box (which is getting bigger and bigger)!

Card Patterns Sketch 104

This week's sketch at Card Patterns is one that will get your mind turning!  There are so many possibilities - take a look at what their Design Team did and you'll see what I'm talking about!  So here is the sketch:
Isn't it just great?  I tend to make the typical 5.5 x 4.25 card so this was a little different for me, but now I love this size.  I made mine about 7.5 x 4.25.  I will give it to my daughter who is expecting a little girl on April 6th.  She has two little boys -- so for this one we are looking forward to buying bows and baby dolls!

Here is my card:

The paper is Enchanted by imaginisce.  The little stamp is Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for looking and have a HAPPY stamping day!

CPS Card Sketches 207

This week's sketch from CPS - Card Sketches  looks like this:

and the prize is sponsored by: Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Be sure to check them out!!

To enter their random drawing simply share your design with the CPS readers. Simply click on the week's sketch image in their side bar.  This will take you directly to the post where you can add your link. Please use a direct link to your card so everyone easily find it.
Here is my card:
The pink flower paper is from Making Memories and the brown/white polka dot is October Afternoon.  The circles were made from a stamp set called "Elegant Edges".  I stamped the circle edges on different colors of card stock, punched them out and added pop-up dots

I bought a paper pack that I thought had several different designs -- they were all the same - 40 sheets of same pink flower!  So you will be seeing lots of cards made with this little pink flower!
Thanks for looking and have a HAPPY stamping day!
