Repeat Impression's Designer Case Challenge - Kendra

Kendra, one of the Repeat Impression's Designers challenged us to do a stair step card.  I've never done one of these, so I did a google search and wow-- opened a whole new way to make cards.  There are several types of stair step cards.  One is called a Side Step card, Stair Step card and a Center Step card.  Wendy has a great selection of the Side Step and Center Step blank cards at Repeat Impressions.  All you need to do is decorate them.

This is my card:
and here is the side view:
I used the stamp A man travels the world....., a few dies and a few copics.  The grass and fence are from my sister who used her Expressions and cut them for me.

It would be neat to see what you create.  Make any kind of step card, post it on Wendy's blog and you could be the randomly drawn winner of a $25.00 gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Here is the list of Design Team members - check out what they did!

Creative Belli Challenge 140 called 3 Shapes

Today at the Creative Belli Challenge, Darsie has challenged us to make a project  - scrapbook page or a card using 3 shapes - any shapes.  Remember a part of the challenge is to use supplies or tools that you already have - no need to buy something new for this challenge.

So here is my card
I used the shapes: circle, rectangle and a square.  The stamp is from The Stamps of Life.  The paper is from my scrap pile.  The little tiny stamp on the square is from Papertrey Ink.

Here is the list of Creative Belli Designers who made some projects to inspire you.  Take a look at what they made, then link your card at the Creative Belli blog.  I'll be looking for your project.
Thanks and have a HAPPY stamping day.

Liebster Blog Award

Liebster Blog Award

Thank you to Sue VanDeVusse for choosing me to receive the Liebster Award.
It is such an honor!  Sue is a real sweetie i met over at StampTV

"The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favorite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note."

Without further adieu, here's what you do as a presenter of this award!

1.Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2.Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
3.Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.
4.Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve.
5.Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

So, now it's my turn to pay it forward, my picks for fellow bloggers with less than 200 followers, in no particular order, are as follows:

5. Wendy Wyman
Now, if each of the 5 people I have chosen would please choose 5 of their own!
Hugs to all :-)
Thanks again, Sue!  And thanks for visiting!

Folding Tag Card Tutorial

Carefully place
I've had several sweet friends ask for instructions to the card I made for Wendy's birthday, so here they are:
I cut a strip 3 x 12 - the width is going to depend on your tag.  I used a Papertrey Ink Die, I think Stampin Up has a Tag Die that is a little wider and several other companies dies are smaller/larger - just measure the width of yours.
Scored at 3, 4 1/2, 6, 7 1/2 and 9

Folded on score lines, side view - front and back panels a little longer than middle sections
Carefully place die with top of die at the top of folded tag(longer front and back as top) in Cuttlebug/Vagabond/Sizzix.  I had to run it thru several times to cut thru all layers
Run a ribbon down back and up to the front
Added designer paper panels to each section which have been cut approximately 2 x 1 3/8 (length will depend on your tag size, but width will be 1 3/8)
Panels can be stamped on or embellishments add to it.  Here is this finished card

Creative Belli Challenge CAS

Can you believe March is half gone?  School will soon be out!  Most of the schools here are out the middle of May.  Time is just flying by this year!

Well, today on the Creative Belli Blog we were challenge to make a CAS card - Clean and Simple Design with a lot of white space.  Here is my card:
I used a cuttlebug folder, a die in 2 sizes and 2 stamps from Repeat Impressions.  The first picture was on a white background and the card seemed to disappear, so I put a black drop cloth behind the card.

Why don't you take on this challenge - this is an easy one. Just make a clean and simple card with lots of white and post it on the Belli Challenge Blog.

Here is a list of the designers that have made some projects to inspire you.  Check them out and leave a little love for them and then link your card to the challenge site.
Thanks and have a HAPPY stamping day.
