Repeat Impressions Designers Choice Challenge

Hi! I hope you are having a fabulous spring day!  Thank you for taking the time to look at my project.  Today Makiko, one of the Design Team members at Repeat Impressions challenged us to make a card/project for a woman we love.  I made this card for my niece.  She fell Friday and separated her shoulder.  Thanks Makiko for a very timely challenge!

Here is my card
The flower is the Maine state flower - Lupine and the sentiment is May the beauty of springtime.... I masked the lower part of the sentiment.  Here is a list of the other Design Team Members who made card/projects.

Now it's your turn! Make a card with birds and link it on The House That Stamps Built Blog.  Wendy will randomly choose someone to be the recipient of a really nice gift certificate.

Thank you for looking at my card and have a HAPPY stamping day!

Creative Belli Challenge - Animals

East Texas is still having beautiful spring days - that will soon come to an end!  Our hot weather will start end of May and certainly by the first of June.  Hope you  are having beautiful spring days where ever you are.

Today the Creative Belli Design Team was challenged by Darsie to make a card with an animal.  And Darsie Bruno owner of the Creative Belli Challenge is offering some really cool Blog Candy!

That is an easy challenge for me - my husband is a veterinarian and I have lots of animal image stamps.  This one is from Gina K Designs.

Remember the objective of the Creative Belli Challenge is to use some "old or forgotten" embellishment or tool.  Let us know what is your "old and forgotten" element in your post.  You might encourage someone to use their "old and forgotten".

Here is my card:

The little dog image is from Gina K Designs, as is the sentiment.  The "old and forgotten" in my card is the yarn/twine.  It was given to me by my sister - she will be surprised to see it.  This "old" twine/yarn was just the right thickness that I needed.  Here is the list of Designers who have made projects to inspire you.  Make a project that features an animal and post it on the Creative Belli Blog - we'd love to see what you did!

Here is the list of Design Team members.

Thanks for looking at my card - have a HAPPY stamping day!

Repeat Impressions Sketch for April 18

Spring has sprung!  It is popping up everywhere all over Texas.  The bluebonnets this year are spectacular! The roses in my back yard have some of the best blooms they have ever had!  With the amazing colors out everywhere, I took Wendy's sketch from Repeat Impressions and mad a couple of cards. Here is Wendy's sketch
Isn't this a great sketch!
and here is my first card:
I used the stamps:  Floral Peace and Spring.

My second card, I made with my grandson's birthday party in mind.  It is a single page and thought I could do them pretty fast.

I used the stamps:  Jester and Invitation blanks.  I love Repeat Impression's Invitation Blank, it's so easy to use.  Do you see the "Let's Party"?  That is the last words to the Spring stamp.  I did a little masking and used my stamp-a-maji.  One of the good things about Wendy's stamps is that she has designed them for easy masking,  Love it!!

Ok., now why don't you join in the opportunity to win a nice gift certificate from Wendy.  Just make a card using Wendy's sketch and link it on her blog.

Here is what the rest of the team created.
Thank you for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #61

Today at Paptertrey Ink, Dawn McVey shows us how to create flowers using leaf dies -- I must say, this is one of the best Make It Mondays! I love using flowers on my cards -- and this technique would be fantastic for scrapbooking!  Check out her video here.

Here is my card
This is was FUN technique and I'll be using it again and again.    I just copied Dawn's layout and technique and used some scraps of paper from my stash.

Why don't you try it - she explains how you can use lots of different dies.  You can link your project on the Papertrey site here.

Thank you for looking at my card and have a HAPPY stamping day.

Card Patterns Sketch 160

Card Patterns has the sweetest sketch this time - I love it because it lends itself to using pretty flowers and button.  I decided to use stars instead. Papertrey Ink has some cool star stamps and wanted to use them.  Here is the sketch
and here is my card:

Why don't you join in the challenge?  It's fun - and challenge one of your stamping/card making friends.  I love challenging my sister.

Thank you for looking at my card. Have a HAPPY stamping day.
