Repeat Impression's Anything Goes Challenge

Good Morning!  Today at Repeat Impression Wendy has challenged us with - "Anything Goes" - what a great challenge.  I saw on a friend's blog a card set and thought I'd copy it.  So here is my card set:
I used the image called Daffodils plus the words from another image/sentiment called Celebrate Spring.  The colored base card stock was dry embossed and a die cut used to cut the white card stock.  I colored the flowers and fussy cut them out and popped them up with foam pads.

Now "What would you do" with a Anything Goes Challenge"?  Here is the list of Design Team members who are hoping you will be inspired by their creations, make a layout or a card and join in the challenge.  We are excited to see what you do.  Be sure to go to Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built and see the guidelines and link your project -- who knows yours might be the randomly chosen name to win a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a Happy Stamping Day

Your Smile

Good Morning!  Joy here today with a Cloudy Day Challenge from Classy Cards 'n Such.  If you have heard on the news, we in Texas have received a LOT of rain for several months in a row so this was a challenge that was easy!  Here is my card:
I used Blueprints 4 to cut out the white cardstock and I used Blueprints 13 for the little stitching.  Blueprints 13 die set has a stitch line that allows you to create stitching on any shape.  I just love it.  The sentiment is from Black Eyed Susan by JustRite.  See the little sunshine?  It is actually a flower die.  I popped up all the elements with Large Joy Foam Pads.  The last thing I did was to round the corners of the blue cardstock with the corner round on my Envelope Punch Board.

Clouds, Clouds, Clouds - why don't you join in the Classy Cards 'n Such Cloudy Day challenge.  We would love to see what you create.  Be sure to check out all the specifics on the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog.  You can link there or here on my blog.

Happy Thoughts

Hello friends, Joy here today showing you a card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.
The paper is from Graphic 45's paper pad called Raining Cats and Dogs.  The blue background paper is dry embossed with a folder from Anna Griffin called Matelasse.  The sentiment is from Anytime Sentiments by Impression Obsession. (a fabulous stamp set for so many occasions - a basic) and was embossed with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's White Detail Embossing Powder.  I used some Joy Foam Pads to pop up the sentiment element, added the pinwheel and tied a little gold thread at the top.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Here's today's
and here's my card:
I love Wendy's butterflies - maybe because it's a sign of spring and I'm SO ready for some nice days.  The Butterfly was stamped twice - once on the paper and once on vellum, cut out and a little glitter put on her wings.  The sentiment is called Today and Always from the Inspirational Series.  I lined it with gold - seems like gold is the rage now.

Blooming Blossoms

Hello, Joy here today showing you a card I made for the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge this week.  The challenge was to make a card using dogwood or cherry blossom.  Here is my card
The dogwood blossom stamp is from Our Daily Bread.  I stamped this on watercolor paper and used a Tim Holtz Water Brush to very lightly color in the leaves and blossoms.  The butterfly is from the Majestic Monarchs set by Sweet 'n Sassy.  It was colored more brightly than the blossoms and die cut using one of the Majestic Monarchs dies.  The label was die cut, stamped with a sentiment from the Majestic Monarchs stamp set and sprayed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist and popped up with Large Joy Foam Pads.

Ok, now it's your turn - we would love to see how you meet the challenge.  Just link your card or project here or on Classy Cards 'n Such blogspot. com.  You could be the winner of a nice prize.

Good morning, Joy here with a thank you card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  Gold in card making is so hot - hot - hot now.  The on line store at Classy Cards 'n Such has lot of things with gold - check it out.
This card features a thank you sentiment from Just Rite's Spring Words.  The paper is from Kaisercraft's  6.5x6.5 paper pad called Key To My Heart.  It has several papers that emphasize gold.  The sentiment was heat embossed with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's White Detail Embossing Powder.  The banner and layered circle are from a great die set called Blueprints 4 by My Favorite Things.  The little blue scallop border was cut using the scallop die from Blueprints 13 and uses some of the designer paper from the pad.  I used a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool is put some white ink on the circle for the popular chalkboard look.

Don't forget to take a look for those gold things from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

Repeat Impressions Embossing Challenge

Good Morning.  Today at Repeat Impressions we were challenged to make a project using heat embossing -- oh one of my favorites!

For this one I decided to use embossing powder in a technique I saw on YouTube.  It uses some of the new Deco Foil.

The first thing to do is used white detail embossing powder on the image and sentiment.  Then cut a little of the foil for the top of the heat embossed image and then run it thru a laminating machine.  I used a blue foil on the Large Butterfly and gold on the sentiment, Let Your Dreams.....

Below is the list of Design Team Members who have made projects.
Now would be time time to make a project using heat embossing and link it on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built - you could be the winner of s nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions!  I look forward to seeing your project!

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day!

God is a Fortress

Hello friends.  Joy here today showing you a card I made to encourage a friend who had a tough day,  I found all the supplies to make this card at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

First thing was to water color - using water mixed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist and water colors.   I love the little shiny/glitter it gives to water colors. When it was dry I used the stitched rectangle in the Blueprints 13 Die Set by My Favorite Things.  I used the stitch line in the die set to make it a square.  The sentiment is from Inky Antics called Mighty Tower.  The brick colored paper is from a 6x6 pad called Key To My Heart from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a Happy stamping day.

Repeat Impressions Color Challenge

Yeah! For great color sketches.  I love, love, love these colors together. Here is Wendy's, owner of Repeat Impressions color choice
And here is my card:
I used the image called Small Butterfly and the Vertical sentiment.  The sentiment was supposed to be heat embossed with white detail embossing powder -- but guys, my heat gun died on me!! I've ordered another one, but I was frantic at first!  Do you know what I tried?  I tried the micro wave -- guess what?  -- it doesn't work on embossing powder.  I even tried do it in the oven! -- All I did was curl the edges of my paper and I had to start over again.  So the banner was my second choice --

Here is the list of Design Team member who made something to inspire you.  Check them out, make a project and then link it on The House That Stamps Built and you might be the winner of a nice gift certificate!  Can't wait to see what you create -- with or without a heat gun!

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day!
