Peace is a Journey

Hello friends, Joy here showing you a card made supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  This began with cutting the banner from a Blueprints 13 die using paper from Graphic 45's Botanical Tea.  The edges were inked using a Tim Holtz Mini Ink Blending tool.  The sentiment is from Hope and Love Vintage Label Eight and Nine by JustRite.  The little flourish at the bottom is from Hugs & Kisses by JustRite.  The print paper is from Harvest Lane by Simple Stories.
The little heart was cut out of one of the journal cards in the Harvest Lane paper pad using the heart die from Blueprints 4.  I think it is the perfect size for making elements.  I coated it with Glossy Accents and popped it up with Large Joy Foam Pads.

I hope you have a great day!

Foiling with Repeat Impressions Stamps

Good Morning! Today it's my turn for Project of the Week for The House That Stamps Built.  I'd like to share with you some tips and helps about foiling with Repeat Impressions Stamps.  First of all this is a FUN technique that can be used in many different ways and there are many different techniques to use foil and today I'll share one way.  First up is a list of supplies you will need to get started.

Versamark
fine detail embossing powder
anti static pad or tool
foil - any brand name
Repeat Impression Stamps
heat laminator

After stamping image with Versamark, coating with a fine detail embossing power and using a heat tool, your image should look like this.

Cut a piece of foil that will cover your image and place inside a sheet of paper folded in half and run this thru a heat laminator.  This one has 2 settings, I used the lower setting.

I found that line images work better than solid images.  Color of embossing powder doesn't matter but it is best to use a super fine embossing powder.  Pictures of the cards I made were taken at different angles so that the camera could pick up the shine.

The tag was spritzed with Glimmer Mist after attaching to a glittered tag.

               Great Blue Heron
               Fawn(done in gold foil)
Genealogy from Text Backgrounds(done in gold foil)

This was a fun project -- watching how the images transform can become addicting - so your desk may end up looking like this!
Hope you will give this a try with some of your Repeat Impressions Stamps.

Spread Your Wings

Good Morning Joy, here.  Showing you some new paper and a little flower die, I just got from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store. -- OK, I confess, I have a problem with dies and paper!  Here is a card I made for this week's Hummingbird Challenge.

I used a die called Massa Leaf Frame from Poppy Stamps.  I cut it in white cardstock and the green paper which is from the 12 x 12 Birds and Bloom paper pack.  I inlayed the green into the white so that it would lay flat.  Then I cut a frame from a die called Decorative Labels Eight by Spellbinders using blue paper from Secret Garden by Graphic 45.  The little flowers were stamped with the Birds and Blooms Stamp Set and die cut using the Birds and Blooms Dies Set from Heartfelt Creations.  They were colored using a Tim Holtz Mini Ink Blending Tool and the tips were covered in Art Institute Adhesive and glittered with Crystal Ice from Sparkle n Sprinkle.  The blue frame was popped up with Large Joy Foam Pads.  I really liked that the sentiment that was already on the paper rectangle that I cut from some the paper from the Birds n Bloom paper pack.

This is a good time to make a card and join us in the Hummingbird challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such. - Any hummingbird done any way - printed, stamped,  drawn, cut or die cut -- show us your creativity.  Check out the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge Page to see all the details.

Thanks for looking at my card,

Sending Love

Hi, Joy here showing you a card I made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  I used one of my favorite supplies - the Clear Card stock - love, love how it cuts and the thickness.

I die cut the Blissful Butterfly Border from some black cardstock and from some paper I watercolored. The black cardstock was used for the outline and the water color paper used for the inside butterflies.  These were adhered to a piece of Clear Card Stock.

A piece of blue cardstock was embossed using the Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder by Darice and was cut to accommodate the panel of clear cardstock.  The sentiment from Hugs & Kisses by JustRite was embossed using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Gold Detail Embossing Powder on a piece of vellum.

A few jewels were added to the banner and to the bottom left of the card.  Thanks for looking at my card!  Have a Happy Stamping Day!

Sweet Wishes

Hello, Joy here today showing you a card set that I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.

I began by embossing 6 card bases with Anna Griffin's Cherry Blossom embossing folder.  Then die cut 6 flourishes with Anna Griffin's die called Flourish Medallion.  The flowered mat was framed with Gold Mirricard and next I stamped 6 small cards with one of the sentiments from the Sweet Wishes stamp set by Stampavie, heat embossed the frame and sentiments with Sparkle 'n Sprinkles Gold Detail Embossing Powder and cut them out with the die called Labels Twenty-two by Spellbinders.  Large Joy Foam Pads were used to pop up the sentiments.  The last thing was to put them with envelopes into a clear box and wrap with a ribbon.
Getting these ready assembly line style was quick.  Have a happy stamping day!

Repeat Impression What If Wednesday

Today the challenge at Repeat Impressions was to make anything but a card and I kinda went crazy with tags -- I found a new product called Color Bursts and they make lovely backgrounds for so many of my Repeat Impressions Stamps. The first two tags used an image from the Beautiful Days Series called  Hummingbird and Cat.  For the third tag I used a vertical sentiment Get Well Soon that I stamped on the right hand side of the tag and left room for a personal note or  "to/from" and will hang this on some roses that I will cut from my yard.

Now guys, this will be an EASY-PEAZY challenge -- and you could win a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions!  Here is the list of designers that made something to inspire you.  Make your project and link it on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built, sit back and see if you are that winner!

Hello, Joy here with a card I made with supplies I found on the online store at Classy Cards 'n Such.

I started with a piece of glossy cardstock and stamped the daisy image from Black Eyed Susan by Just Rite with memento ink and colored with Copics. Then I used the stitching line from Blueprints 13 by My Favorite Things to outline the rectangle.  The green and white polka dot paper is from KaiserCraft's Key To My Heart.  I cut out the little butterfly from the stamp set and popped it up with Small Joy Foam Pads.  Then I popped up the daisy rectangle with Large Joy Foam Pads.  The sentiment by Our Daily Bread called Music Speaks was stamped on Heavy vellum and slightly curled.

Thanks

Good Morning,  Joy today showing you a thanks card made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  I love putting a spring wreath on my door - it's still a little early, but I am so ready!  For this card, the first thing I did was to go thru my stamp sets and looked for tiny images - and there are a lot.  For this wreath I used Live, Love, Laugh Vintage Labels Two by JustRite (little flourish),Spring Words by JustRite (rose), Hugs & Kisses by JustRite (large flourish) and Black-Eyed Susan Labels Five by JustRite (bee).  I drew a circle and just stamped around the circle, added a few little green dots with my green Tim Holtz Distress Marker.  I mounted it on pink patterned paper by KaiserCraft called Key to My Heart.  Then that mounted on a piece of green paper from the Graphic 45 paper pad called Secret Garden.  The bow is a die cut.  The Thanks is an Impression Obsession die called Greeting Set.

This is so easy, I'll be making another soon.  Check to see what stamps sets at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store would make a cute wreath.  Think branches, flourishes and tiny flowers.

Have a Happy stamping day!

Good Friends

Good Morning, today some paper from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store inspired this card.  The paper is from Kaisercraft called Storyteller.  The embossed gold paper was cut using the Anna Griffin Die called Flourish Medallion.  This was cut in half and put at the top and bottom of the pink paper.  A scallop border was cut using the scallop die from Blueprints 4 and attached to the side and piece of the gold added.  The sweet sentiment is one of the die cuts from the Storyteller paper pad.
The Storyteller paper pad has 4 pages of framed sentiments.  I matted it on black card stock and popped it up with Large Joy Foam Pads

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day!

God Is

Hello friends, Joy here showing you a card I made for this week's challenge using supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

Here is the challenge picture

I used the colors as my inspiration.  The flowers are from the JustRite set called Hope and Love Vintage Label Eight and Nine. They were stamped on paper from a 12x12 paper pad by Kaisercraft called Key to My Heart.  The little white stitched banner was created using the line stitch die from Blueprints 13.  This little stitch line die allows you to easily create a stitch line on any shape.  The sentiment is from a cute set by Sweet 'n Sassy called God Is.  The little flourish is from JustRite and called Live, Love, Laugh Vintage Two Labels.  To finish the card, I used my Envelope Punch Board to round the corners and popped up the banner with Large Joy Foam Pads.

The whole Classy Cards 'n Such team would like to see what you would do with the challenge!  Make a card and link it here or on Beverly's blog, Classy Cards 'n Such.blogspot.com.  You could be the winner of a nice prize.

Sorry for Your Pet Loss

Good Morning.  The on line store, Classy Cards 'n Such has some beautiful stamps to help you make cards for all occasions!  One of the hardest things to do when a friend experiences the loss of a pet is to know how to console them. A card can go a long way to help. Here is a card I made with a stamp set from My Favorite Things called Clearly Sentimental About Pets.  The set has 6 wonderful sentiments that celebrate the impact pets have on our lives.

The pretty flower frame is from B Line Designs and called Blooming Frame.  The little flourish at the bottom of the sentiment is from Spring Words by JustRite.  The tiny gold frame is a gorgeous gold paper called Super Gold Metallic.  It is so shiny it's hard to photograph well.  The pink paper matt is from Botanical Tea by Graphic 45.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day.
