Sketch Time at Repeat Impressions

Good morning!  I love, love, love sketches!  They give me a starting point and Wendy does a beautiful job of the sketches she challenges us with.  Here is this week's.
And here is my card
The stamp is called Celebrate Spring. With a little rubber stamp surgery, I separated the daffodils from the sentiment and then used them as another stamp!  - Two for one -- SCORE!

So let's get started on this challenge.  Make a project -- and remember - it can be a 3D project, a scrapbook page or card - let your imagination run wild!!  Just use the photo as inspiration.  We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.    You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Photo Inspiration Day at Repeat Impressions

Good morning!  Today for the Repeat Impression's challenge we were given this picture as inspiration.
I love daffodils, but decided to go with the colors for my project.  My stash of birthday cards is running low and made this card.
The image is from the Cake Flip Die set and the sentiment is called Getting Old.  The party confetti is called is called Celebration Burst.  So now the question is "What would you do?"

Remember - it can be a 3D project, a scrapbook page or card - let your imagination run wild!!

Color Challenge for Repeat Impressions

Today Wendy owner of Repeat Impressions challenged us to use the colors of Violet, Green and Aqua.

Here is my card
I used some Tim Holtz distress inks to color the back ground and use the bear stamp called Rainy Day Friends, (isn't it the cutest stamp ever?) and the thanks for being there sentiment is from the new Thanks Cling Set.  This set has 21 different words that can combined for lots of different sayings.

Wendy always makes these challenges so much fun - why don't you join us in the challenge?

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Good morning!  It's my turn to do a Project of the Week for  Repeat Impressions and I just recently saw the bleach technique and found it easy and fun.  Repeat Impressions has quite a few really great stamps that work well with this technique.

Supplies for this technique are:

Bleach - any kind
solid or silhouette stamps
dye ink - any brand name - I've used Gina K Designs, Hero Arts and Momento
applicators or small brushes
The first step is to stamp images of your choice on card stock to use as a background.  I used a MISTI so that my images got full and complete coverage.
Then I poured a small amount of bleach into a small container and dipped my applicator into the bleach and quickly painted or sketched onto the stamped image.
The application of bleach changes the color of the dye ink.  Be careful not to splash or drip where you don't want it -- it might mess up your stamping.  Here are two of the finished cards:

The solid images I used are Maple Leaf Silhouette and Large Balloon Silhouette.  The sentiments are Happy Birthday from the Quartet Compliments and Happy Birthday from....

Hope you give this technique a try - it's easy and lots of fun.
