Repeat Impressions Inspiration Challenge

Good morning friends!  Ready for a new challenge?  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has given us this palette for an Inspiration Challenge
I love this combination of colors and living in East Texas we are surrounded by pine trees.  Here is my take on the challenge.
This is a simple flat card that will mail easily.  The Peace sentiment was stamped in green and the Large and Small Pine Trees in various shades of green.  The hills were made with a die.

You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Here is the sketch

Project of the Week

Hey -- Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions let me do the Project of the Week for this week and I'm crazy about it.  I'll be doing some experimenting with it and here are my first attempts.

Ok - I love, love the new stitching dies - but Holy Toledo! they are expensive.  I want a leaf stitching die and just the dies alone were $24.00.  So I came up with this idea.

Here are the supplies you will need

Tracing wheel (the kind you use for pattern marking)
Favorite image (stamped already)
A little black ink
An old mouse pad
Get Well stamp, and Silhouette Maple Leaf.

First gently ink up the wheel (just like you would do a brayer) - I used a little ink dew drop - because I didn't know if it would cut the ink pad.
Here I used a ruler on top of the mouse pad to make sure I did it straight

Here I did it slowly using curves.

Heart image

Here I did it using the leaves - this was my goal!
Here are the leaves and small rectangle finished.

Here is the card I did using the technique.

This also used the word Happy from a Happy Everything sentiment and some alphabet letters.  I attached a Starbucks card.

Thanks for looking at my project - hope you give it a try.

Falling for you........

Today for the  Repeat Impressions Challenge, Laurie, one of the Rock Star Designers gave us the challenge to make a card with leaves, fall or autumn themed.  I saw a technique a few weeks ago I wanted to try.  So here is my card.  Actually this technique ends up with two cards.

I used two sentiments Autumn's splendor.... which is from a Flip Set called Autumn Flip set but centered perfectly in the middle of the heart and For the Beauty of.....  The images are from a cool stamp called Foliage Negative (which I selectively inked up), Oak Leaf and Falling Leaves.  On one card I used an embossing folder and then I added a few sequins to each card.

This was a fun challenge for me because I got to use a new technique.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Blessings from Repeat Impressions

Hi friends!  This week our challenge comes from an Inspiration Palette that Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has provided for us.  Here is the inspiration:
Isn't that fox precious!  I ended up using the blocks of color and reproduced them with some inks and masks.

This is a favorite saying of our family.  We say it mostly to the grandkids.  So I'll probably save this and give it to one of my grandsons.

I used the stamp called You are my Sunshine.  It is found under the category of Cancer and Caregivers - check out this category, it is full of wonderful, encouraging images and sentiments.

For me these challenges are always fun and look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Count Your Blessings by Repeat Impressions

Count your blessings... name them one by one.  Count your blessings.... see what God has done.  I have loved that song since I was a little kid!  Even when going thru some really hard times, counting our blessings is a good thing and lightens the burdens we might be carrying.  Thanking someone for helping you along the way is such a joy giver.

Thank you Patti for choosing this as the theme for this challenge from Repeat Impressions.  Here is my card.

First of all, I love this Dragonfly image - Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions hit it out of the park with elegance and style when she drew this one.  The wings are so delicate and finely detailed.  Here I stamped it on vellum and heat embossed it along with the Thanks So Much sentiment.  Then framed it in a shiny sliver of gold card stock.  The background is an experiment in metallic paints.

Who's on board with me to show some thanks to someone they love or just gratitude?  Why don't you join us? You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.
