Good Morning Friends!  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has created a sketch for us to follow for this challenge.  Here is her sketch.
And here is a card I made.

The sentiment from the Quilting Series is called Good Friends.

Now it's your turn to join us in this week's challenge.  Your project needs to use the sketch pictured above.  We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Super Fast Pocket Card

Good Morning stamping friends!  Today for the Project of the Week I'll show you how to make a really super fast card with your paper trimmer or exacto knife and your favorite Repeat Impressions sentiment stamp.

List of supplies

paper trimmer (or exacto knife)
ruler
paper

Cut two parallel lines the width of the decorative paper you want to use on the front of your folded card, using the exacto knife or paper trimmer.

Center and stamp the sentiment on the slit.
Insert the decorative paper into the slit.

Here are a few cards made in less than 5 minutes.  Soooo quick and easy!  The first one uses a piece of decorative paper and the Happy Spring sentiment.  The second used a piece of dry embossed vellum and the Thank you sentiment with the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The last one is a piece of printed acetate and the Celebrating you sentiment.

This is a really fast way to make a card - hope you enjoy trying your hand at this technique.  Have a happy stamping day!

Happy Birthday Wendy!

Good Morning!

Today, we are celebrating a very special lady!

Wendy Wyman, owner of Repeat Impressions Stamps, has a birthday today,
and we all want to wish her a wonderful day...

When Wendy was just 4 years old, she announced that she was going to be an artist when she grew up.  Many years, and many sketchbooks later, she had earned a BFA in Graphic Design.

The next 11 years found Wendy worked in advertising, freelancing, and running a printing company.

And then it happened...Wendy's mom became a stamping addict, and the rest was history!  It was Wendy's mom's encouragement that led her to turn her illustrations into fine art rubber stamps.

Wendy's husband Bill, was also looking for a career change, and jumped at the idea of learning a new skill.  And so....in 1996, Wendy and Bill established Repeat Impressions Stamps.  Each stamp is designed by Wendy, and manufactured by Bill in their home workshop!

We hope that you will join us today, as we hop together for Wendy!

A note to Wendy from all of us:

Wendy, you are the sweetest, and most generous person we know.
As a 'boss', rarely do we find ourselves working for someone that is more professional,
or more organized!  You are so understanding of our personal issues, and it's a joy to work with you and your products!

We want to wish you a very Happy Birthday!
We each look up to you, we admire you, and we respect you.
May your day today be filled with love and laughter!

And remember....the more candles you have, the bigger the wish you are allowed!

Here is the Birthday card I made for Wendy - Happy Birthday!

The cups and sentiment are from the Pairings Series and called Thanks a Latte.  I wanted to thank Wendy for being such a good friend and encourager and hope her birthday is as special as she is.

Please hop along to see what my fellow Rock Stars have to share for Wendy!

Thanks for hopping with us!  If you have a minute, please go to the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, and leave Wendy a bit of Birthday love!!!

Hugs and smiles,

Repeat Impressions Long Tall Sally Challenge

Hi fellow stampers!  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions  challenges us to a "Long Tall Sally" project.  Here is the card I made.
It is legal size and I've used the sentiment called Beauty of Springtime.  It has a Happy Easter Greeting at the bottom, but I did a little masking so that that part was not on this card.  It started out as a masculine card - but somehow morphed into more of a feminine one.  Go figure.... Next week - it's gotta go masculine.

Your project needs to be a long card.
