Repeat Impressions tags

Today, I'd like to share a project made with stamps from Repeat Impressions.  Often when visiting someone in the hospital or meeting someone for lunch, I like to give cut flowers from my yard.  Here are some hang tags I made for those flowers.  I first stamped the images and sentiments then used a few watercolors and using a few paint sprinkles to complete.

I used images from Flower Power Separates, the sentiments Hang in there...., Merry Christmas Postage, Sending healing.... and Today and Always.....

I'm hoping that each one of my readers has the best Christmas ever, remembering why Christ is in Christmas.

Blessings,
Joy

Anything Goes - Repeat Impressions Challenge

Good morning!  Anything Goes week is always fun and they don't come around very often - only if the month has 5 Wednesdays.  Thanks to Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions - we can really enjoy this challenge!  Here is my card

This is a super simple card that I will mass produce for some of my Christmas card.  It uses the Bokeh technique - so simple, but has dramatic results.  The sentiment is called Christmas in the heart and I heat embossed in on the rectangle die from Fancy Flip Dies.

What a great week to join in Repeat Impressions Weekly Challenge.  Your project can be a 3D project, a scrapbook page or card - let your imagination run wild!!   We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Good Morning!  Wendy owner of Repeat Impressions asked me to do the Project of the Week and I'm excited to show you how to make a background using watercolors and a stencil.  Here are the supplies you will need:

painters tape
water colors - any kind
Bristol watercolor card stock
a board to tape project onto (I used the back of a small clipboard)
broad paint brush
smaller paint brush
any stencil
Repeat Impressions stamps
Tape your card stock onto the board with the painter's tape.  This will help your card stock not warp.
Put a good coating of water with the broad brush onto the card stock.
Drop different colors onto the coated card stock and let the colors run.  The back of the clip board will be slanted and will allow the paint colors gently blend together.

Tape your chosen stencil to the card stock and squish it down tightly to smash colors together.
Allow to dry naturally or use a heat gun to dry.
After it is dry carefully pull off stencil and embellish.

Here are several others using a flower stencil and a star background.  I used the sentiments called A Birthday is.... and For unto you....

I hope you give this technique a try. Don't be surprised if you get carried away like I did!  Thanks for looking at my project.  Have a Happy Stamping Day!

Making Repeat Impression's Dimensional Flowers

Good morning!  Don't you just love Repeat Impressions new Flower Power Series!  Remember they come as individual flowers or the whole set on unmounted cling.  Today's post maybe a little long - but I've gotten carried away with these flowers! -- I really like them.  So here are the supplies you might need

Flower shaping tools:
mat - (can use an old mouse mat)
shaping tools or
a Bloom Impressions tool
embellishments
favorite Repeat Impressions outine flower stamp
designer paper with small details

here I have stamped my flowers, fussy cut and gathered some embellishments

My next step is to shape the flowers with either the Bloom Impressions tool or with the shaping tools & a mat.  Here is the Kathy's flower outline stamped on some designer paper that has small detailing.

Here I have cut out the center of Kathy's Flower Outline and place the whole flower in center of the Bloom Impressions tool.  Then they were stacked using liquid adhesive.

This center flower has been shaped with flower shaping tools.  The last steps are to embellish the centers with prills, pearls or gems and attach to your card.

Here are two cards made with the layered Repeat Impressions Flowers.  On the first card Merry Christmas was  stamped in the center of a stitched circle die.  The second card uses the new YOU cling stamp set and the Daisy Outline stamp.

Thanks for looking at my cards -- happy stamping!
