WHAT IF WEDNESDAY SKETCH - November 17

Fall has finaly come to East Texas!! We don't get much color, but every few years we can see some.  In this part of East Texas we have tall, tall towering pine trees with lots of hardwoods, but they don't color up like the trees in Maine or North Carolina.  We just get happy when we see any color besides green! Today I took this picture.  This is the road that leads to my house.
It was my inspiration for my card for Repeat Impressions WHAT IF WEDNESDAY.  Wendy gave us this sketch
Here is my card:
The stamps are:  Shade of the Elm and Falling Leaves.

Why don't you join us and show us what you can do with this sketch.   Remember you could be the winner of a $25.00 gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Go to The House That Stamps Built and link your creation at the little blue froggy found there.  We would love to see what you do.  Here are some design team members and their projects.

Thanks for stopping - Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Darsie's Case card for Repeat Impressions

I have two posts for today, scroll down one for the Creative Belli Challenge - thanks - Joy

Wendy at Repeat Impressions has started a new feature.  She will be surprising us with a new challenge and this week we were to CASE a card from Darsie Bruno.   Here is Darsie's card.

And here is my card

I have to tell you this was a CHALLENGE for me!! - I'm not good at big bows, but with Darsie's encouragement, this is what I came up with.  The Chickadee at Rest is a super great image to color and to use for lots of different occasions.  The embossed snowflake is from the new Christmas series.  It is actually one of five snowflakes in a row, but I did a little masking for the single snowflake on the row of scallops.  Then  I embossed an extra one, punched it out with a small circle punch and made a brad out of it by adding a clear dome top.

Now it's your turn!  Remember a CASE card is:  copy and steal everything. (or copy and same elements).  Show us what you did with Darsie's card.  Go to The House That Stamps Built blog and there will be a place to link your card.

Creative Belli Challenge 104

You are going to love this challenge -- it is for Something Borrowed, Something Old, Something New and/or Something Blue (not necessarily a wedding card).

Since I'm in the process of making my Christmas cards I took this as a real challenge.  Here is what I came up with
The Stamp is a sentiment from Papertrey Ink, the paper is from Webster Pages(new) and the ribbon is MS (old).  The something is borrowed is the heat gun that I borrowed from my sweet daughter to emboss the sentiment.  Mine bit the dust!

Why don't you show us what you can do?  We would love to see your creativity.  Make a project with those guidelines and submit it on the Creative Belli Challenge Blog.

Here are some of the other designers who made some projects to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping and leaving a comment  it helps me be a better blogger and card maker-- Have a HAPPY stamping day!!

Stamp TV Alumni CAS BLOG HOP

Carolina has organized another great Blog Hop for us.  This time she challenged us to do a CAS card - clean and simple.  Here are the parameters she gave us.
  • Your design must be CAS - Clean And Simple: lots of white or open space with one main focal point
  • One image
  • One sentiment
  • One layer card - your card base plus only one more layer
  • Embellishments - you can use any number of embellishments you want, but they all must be the same color
If you came here from Jen Charboneau's blog, then you are right on track.  Didn't you just love the colors in her card!! She is so talented.  For the beginning of this blog hop go to Stamp TV and start there.
So here's my card.
I used Tami Mayberry's Faithful Florals.  Every sentiment in this set will inspire and encourage you.  The paper is GKD's Ivory and October Afternoon dp.  I embossed the stamping and added tiny pearls to the centers of the flowers.

Doing a CAS was a real challenge for me but enjoyed the challenge and am planning to do some more.  Now you can go to Karen Knegten's blog - I always enjoy her cards and get inspired from her talent. After you have visited the other designers, don't forget to leave a comment at the Stamp TV blog.

Thanks for stopping and have a HAPPY stamping day!
