Pumpkin Time

Hello friends, Today it's my turn to issue a challenge for Repeat Impressions' Designer's Choice Challenge.  I thought this would be a good time to make pumpkin cards!  So here is mine

I think this is called a tri-fold card.  I used the Happy Halloween sentiment, Jack-o-lantern cat and the tall pumpkin - which by the way has lots of different faces you can stamp onto the pumpkin - so cute!  The grass is called grass border and fit perfectly on the edge.

What would you do with this challenge?  We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  Just use pumpkins somewhere in your design.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Here is the list of Rock Star Designers who have made something to inspire you.  Good luck - and I'm looking forward to see your projects.

Fall Butterfly Colors

Good morning!  Can you feel fall in the air where you live?  The challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such is going to help us get in the mood.  Here is a card I made:

The blue dot paper is from Graphic 45 paper called Home Sweet Home and Simple Stories' Harvest Lane.  The brown paper was embossed with a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Flora folder.  The mat was cut from Spellbinder's Labels Twenty-Two and the Butterfly called Majestic Monarch was stamped on Heavyweight Vellum; cut using the matching Majestic Monarch Butterfly die.  I sponged a little blue on the label with a Tim Holtz Mini Blending Tool.  The tiny leaves are from the Massa Leaf Frame die by PoppyStamps and cut using paper from Home Sweet Home.

Have you entered one of our challenges lately - you could be the winner of a nice prize.  Just go to Classy Cards 'n Such Blogspot.com and look at the details for the challenge.  Make a project then link your project there or here.  Looking forward to see what you do!

Riding Pretty

It's Joy here today showing you a fall card I made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.  In Texas we may be playing fall football -- but the heat is still hanging on.

The base of the shaker card is designer paper from the 12x12 paper pad called Key to My Heart by Heartfelt Creations.  The brown print is from the 6x6 pad called Harvest Lane by Simple Stories.  The bicycle is from the stamp set called Riding Pretty by Impression Obsession and colored with copics.  It was die cut with the companion die called Bicycle.  Acetate was used for the window and attached by doubling up on some Joy Foam Pads and putting them between the window and the card base.  Those foam pads are wonderful to making the windows.

I hope fall is in the air where you are.  Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day!

You Are Beautiful

Hello friends!  It's Joy posting a card made with supplies from the Classy Card 'n Such online store.  I wanted to send a card to a sweet friend who is the most helpful person I know.

I first cut out 2 Decorative Blossom Corners by Heartfelt Creations, and Spellbinders Labels 22.  I cut the Decorative Blossom Corners into pieces that fit around the Labels 22.  A pencil circle was drawn on the white card stock and one of the flowers from Floral Fan Elements by JustRite was stamped around the pencil circle and the sentiment from You Are Beautiful by Impression Obsession was stamped inside the wreath circle.  Just one copic was used to do just a touch of shading on the flowers and was topped off with some Wink of Stella.   The green paper is from Graphic 45 and called Home Sweet Home.    The pink paper is from Key To My Heart by Heartfelt Creations. The two panels were popped up using the Large Joy Foam Pads for a little dimension.

I hope my friend knows how much I appreciate her when she opens this card.  Have a happy stamping day.

Autumn Leaves

Hello friends!  Today Wendy owner of Repeat Impressions has a sketch challenge for us to try.  Here is the sketch
Don't you just love her sketches!  They really help get some creative juices flowing.  I wanted to use a pop-up card - so...

The tree is called Winter Tree, but I added a little color with my copics and made it a fall tree.  The inside leaf is called Maple Leaf Silhouette.  The sentiment says "Autumn Splendor begins with one single leaf".  The sentiment is part of the 4 stamp set called Autumn Flip Set.  The single leaf is one leaf of the Random Leaves stamp.

Now it's your turn!!  What would you do with Wendy's sketch? We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  Just use the sketch as inspiration.   You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Merry Christmas Deer

Good morning friends!  Here is another card I'll be adding to my folder of Christmas cards.  The supplies to make it are found at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  I love going thru the store finding goodies.  When you register, it automatically creates a wish list for you and each time you visit the website, your wish list is there - waiting to be put in your cart!  I love that! (my wish list is long!)

Here is my card
The plaid paper comes from Graphic 45's Twelve Days of Christmas and was cut using one of the dies from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13.  The sentiment is from Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments and was heat embossed using Heavyweight Vellum and Black Fine Detail Embossing powder by Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.  The deer was stamped on a circle die and then placed on a Picot Edge Circle by Spellbinders.  I added a little framed square of the plaid paper to anchor the vellum.

Now -- it's your turn!  Why not take this opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas card stash, by joining us in the challenge.  We would love to see what you would do with the picture as inspiration!  Just go to Classy Cards 'n Such Blogspot.com and look at the details for the challenge.  Then link your project there or here.  You could be the winner of a nice prize!

I love you

Hello, Joy here.  Grandchildren are one of God's wonderful blessings of life.  As I was going thru my scraps of paper from Classy Cards 'n Such, I decided to show how quick and easy it is to use some of those scraps and how they work so well together.  Here is the card:

The background paper was embossed with an Anna Griffin folder called Matelasse.  The papers are Vintage Bliss by from Simple Stories and Candy Cane Lane by Bo Bunny.  I cut one of the little insta gram frames from the Simple Stories Papers - there are 10 of them in the 6x6 pad, put in a picture of one of my grandsons and popped it up with Small Joy Foam Pads.   This little frame says Smile Big; each one has a different sentiment.  The I Love You is from Hugs & Kisses sentiments by JustRite Stamps.  I heat embossed it with Fine Black Embossing Powder from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.

Have a happy stamping day and don't forget to hug your grandkids.

Repeat Impression's Project of the Week

Good morning!  Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has some new BIG sentiment stamps - that I'm crazy about and wanted to show you one quick way to use them as the centerpiece for a card.

First stamp one of the large greetings towards the center of the card and a smaller one near the bottom right.  I used the Hello set.
Then I used a black Spica Glitter Pen to make a line below and above the hello.  I used a t-square ruler to make sure the line was straight.
The large sentiment was then masked off.
Then the Small Butterfly from the Summer series and the Fern were stamped.
and the masked was removed
The last step was to color the images with a few copic markers, add a few dots and some sequins then put on card stock.

This was really a quick process!  Get some of the large sentiments and see what you can do.  I know you will have as much fun as I did!

Here is my first card
I used the embossing folder called Smitten by Anna Griffin on some poppy colored paper from the 6x6 pad by Graphic 45 called Home Sweet Home, cut out one of the tags from the Heartfelt Creations 12x12 Blazing Poppy pad.  The Thanks  is from Impression Obsession Greeting Set.  The twine is Doddle Bug - that's on sale right now in the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  I covered the poppies and the thanks with some Wink of Stella.
