Anything Goes Challenge at Repeat Impressions

It's one of my favorite times of the month - when Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions allows us to do ANYTHING we want as a challenge.  So show us what you have been working on!  Here is mine.

Where I live in East Texas there are lots of natural pine forests - lumber is a big industry here -- but sadly little and most years no snow - but I can dream!  Images are Large pine tree, the Let It Snow sentiment from Snowman Chorus Line and Snowflakes.

Come join in this challenge.  Remember any card, any project or anything you have been working on - how about a page out of your December Daily - if you have done one of those this year.   Inspire us and maybe meet some new friends!  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Hello friends!  Today Repeat Impressions has an Inspiration Palette for the challenge.  Here is Wendy's palette
These are such beautiful colors!  Just what we need for this dreary time of the year in East Texas.  Here is the card I made
I went with a literal interpretation by using the Fan from the Far East Series.  The Celebrating you sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Come join in this challenge.   Inspire us and make some new friends!  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Pick of the Week at Repeat Impressions

Good morning, Friends!  Today I get to pick a few Repeat Impressions stamps to show off.  This week I'm showing some "Postoids".  Repeat Impressions has so many of these fun stamps - Cats, Dogs, Holidays, Birds - take a look and you too can discover how much fun these are.

The supplies you need are so simple:  Repeat Impressions Postoid stamps: Love Post, Get Well and Violets were used here.

pair of Paper Edges scissors - similar to these:
Remember these?  They are so dated, but pulled the lower pair out for this.

Here are the cards I made
The Happy Hello sentiment is from the series called Contain Yourself.

The Love Post background was made with old cancelled postage stamps.  The postoids were framed with shiny gold card stock.

Take a look thru the many, many Postoids that Repeat Impressions has and pick a few to experiment with.  I know you will have as much fun as I have had!

Tic Tac Toe at Repeat Impressions

Hi Stamping friends.  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has challenged us with this Tic Tac Toe grid.

I used the middle grid of ribbon, sparkle and a die cut and this what popped out.

I used a background of used postage stamps that I made, fussy cut 3 Shamrock Silhouettes, die cut a green glitter oval and stamped Happy St. Patrick's Day on a white die cut oval.  The shamrocks were heavily coated with Wink of Stella.

These Tic Tac Toe Challenges are so much fun - Come join us in this challenge.   Inspire us and make some new friends!  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

The image is called Goose and the sentiment is part of a sentiment that says I Love You Bunches.

Anything Goes at Repeat Impressions

Today is Anything Goes at Repeat Impressions.  I love when this challenge come up.  I usually take a favorite stamp and create something.  Here is mine.

Since where I live, we don't get much snow and it takes forever for all the leaves to fall I used Falling Leaves as a background and put a piece of acetate in the window. The cat in the window is called Peaceful Observation. No sentiment is on the outside because I'll save this for an "as needed" card.

Why don't you join in this challenge - remember it is any stamps, any colors - any sketch - your choice. You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Accent on Sentiments

Hey friends - good morning.  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions is letting me show how I rearrange and do a few sentiment tricks so that the sentiment takes center stage.

Here is a list of the sentiments I'll use.
What we do....  8411-I
God gave us... 4011-G
Snow much fun  8810-H
the Happy from Happy Everything 4001-G
the Thanksgiving from Thanksgiving Blessings. 3214-G
Acorn 3311-C

The first card is simple, simple simple.  I love this sentiment called What we do... is under the Cancer and Caregivers Category.  I had a very pretty piece of designer paper that I've been saving - and this sentiment just was perfect for it.  Look at your sentiments and see if there is a designer paper that will work well.  Let it take center stage.

Next up is think about framing your sentiment with glitter or special paper - like vellum.  Here I cut a glitter frame, stamped the sentiment called God gave us... on vellum, heat embossed and layered on an embossed background with a glitter frame.  I thought the sparkle reminded me of winter and was perfect for the sentiment
For the third card I did a little stamp surgery.  Here is what the original sentiment called Snow much fun looks like in the catalogue

I wanted the sentiment to stretch over the whole card, so I carefully cut the sentiment and used my Misti to line it up the way I wanted to and here is the card.  The sentiment can easily be put back together.

The last card mixes sentiments.  The Happy is from Happy Everything and the Thanksgiving is from
Thanksgiving Blessings.  Here again I did a little stamp surgery knowing that they can easily be put back together with a Misti or stamp positioner.  They were stamped on vellum, heat embossed and die cut with a tag die cut.  The little acorns are called Acorn.  I just think they are so cute!  I put glossy accents on them so they would not get lost on the alcohol ink and stencil vellum.

So... you might try looking at your sentiments a little differently and put them in the spotlight.  Thanks for looking at my cards.

Inspiration Challenge from Repeat Impressions

Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has an Inspirational Challenge for us.  Here is her photo

These are gorgeous colors!  I can just hear the crunch of those beautiful leaves.  Here is my card - this challenge I came away with a "two-fer" . I had left overs that quickly became a second card.  I used the Flower Power background stamp and Thanks a Bunch sentiment

This one used the left overs - I just matted it and stamped the sentiment from the giant unmounted sheet of sentiments called You.
When you join in this challenge you could win the $25.00 gift certificate that Wendy is offering in a random drawing. You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.
