Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions

Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has asked Patti to challenge us with a project and her challenge was to use paper piecing in a project.  I love paper piecing because I can used some of those favorite pieces of paper I just can't bear to throw away.

So here is my card:

I used the Pumpkin Stamps - you can get the faces separately -- Wendy has different sizes of pumpkins and lots of different faces -- so you can create your own pumpkin and face.    The Happy Haunting sentiment is on the same page as the faces.

Here is the list of Rock Stars who made projects to inspire you.

Creative Belli Challenge - Sports

Do you or someone you know participate in Fantasy Sports?  Yikes!! At my house, come September, the tv is usually tuned to some sports - NASCAR, Football, Soccer, Basketball  - always something!!
I'm not a sports person by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't mind my DH watching -- that means I can scrap, and make cards without interruption!

This week Darsie, the owner of the Creative Belli Challenge has asked us to make a "Sports Themed Project".  So I made a card - which I'll probably give to my grandson (9 years old) who plays baseball.

Here is my card:
The stamps are embossed and are from Papertrey Ink and is a very old set - not used much!

Here is the list of Designers who have made projects to inspire you:

Now it's your turn ----- The spirit of the Belli challenge is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments! Everyone is welcome to play along! Challenge a stamping friend! Just follow the theme and add your direct link to the inlinkz widget on the Creative Belli Blog.

Thanks for looking at my card - have a HAPPY stamping day!!

Papertrey Ink Challenge

Papertrey Inks Challenge this month is called Fabric and Felt wrap.

I made little Halloween cornucopias for my grandchildren.  They hold 3 mini snickers.  I used a 5 inch square of Papertrey Orange Zest felt cut diagonally into 2 pieces.   Scor-tape was used to hold them together then cut black party paper napkins with the new Tissue paper #1 die.  I cut them a little smaller by moving the edge of the die up just a little so that they would fit into the small cornucopias.

Little Papertrey Ink Orange Zest buttons, Papertrey Ink's True Black Gingham Ribbon and Mr Bones Skeleton and Spider with his little web stamp and die finished them out.

Thank you for looking at my project.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week - Bulldog

This week Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions gave us a sweet stamp for STAMP OF THE WEEK.  It is a bulldog.  My husband is a veterinarian and we have several favorite bulldog clients.

Most bulldogs are bright and not fierce like their faces portray. They are very gentle and love family and children.  They do not have guarding instincts nor are they aggressive and tend to be couch potatoes.   They like attention and learn quickly.

Here is my card:
Remember you can get this image for 50% off for this week only.  All you need to do is go to Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built, get the code there and then put that code into the special instructions blank at the Repeat Impressions Website when you order.

Here are a few members of the Design Team who have made cards to inspire you.

Creative Belli Challenge - Fall

Well, for the last few weeks I've been saying I'm ready for fall.  Yet, it is soooo... slow in coming to East Texas.  Today it was 102!  Weather man says we are to get a "cool" front come in -- oh yeah, that just means it will be less than 90!  Yikes!

Darsie owner of the Creative Belli Challenge Blog asked us to challenge the readers to make a fall card -- I'm thinking, leaves, browns, tans, yellows, deep reds or really anything that makes you think of fall -- pumpkins, scarecrows, - such a nice time of the year.

The spirit of the Belli challenge is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments! Everyone is welcome to play along! Challenge a stamping friend! Just follow the theme and add your direct link to our inlinkz widget on the Creative Belli Blog.

So here is my card:
I used a silhouette leaf stamp from Repeat Impressions and did a "Rock & Roll" technique with brown and pumpkin colored inks.  The tag is from Papertrey Ink with a little ribbon from my local hobby store and a Cuttlebug folder.

Here is the list of Design Team Members who made projects for a little inspiration.

Thank you for your comments - have a HAPPY stamping day!

September 11 - Let Us Never Forget

Today, take a minute to remember those families who are missing loved ones today.  Say a prayer for the families of the first responders who ran into the face of danger to save lives.

The list of those who lost their lives in the Towers is very long.  It has affected many, many lives for many years.

Also take time to say a prayer to all those who keep us safe that are in military service.
