STAMP of the WEEK - Mountain Vista

Hey -- Can you believe February is over?  Boy, it went fast!  This week Wendy's Stamp of the Week made me think of Colorado.  In the past I've enjoyed the summer in Colorado - it is a great place to escape the Texas heat!

Do you remember the details for STAMP of the WEEK discount?  You can get this stamp for 50% off just by going to the House That Stamps Built Blog and get the special code there.  When you order your stamp put that code in the special instructions blank.

Here is my card
I'm trying so hard to use up some of my scraps and so I have no idea of the manufacturer of the paper.  I used a little masking and sponging on the image.

Here are the Design Team Members who made a few things for your inspiration.

Thank you for looking at my card and have a HAPPY stamping day!

Here is another card:
I just love this stamp, I've used it so many times and still have a lot of sketches I'd like to use with this darling stamp.  The Stamp Set is called Spring Mix.  I used Gina K Designs Kraft, Sweet Corn and White cardstocks, plus a little misc. dp.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (March 1st), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs who will get a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!

CPS Card Sketches 206

CPS has a very interesting sketch this week--- this one was a little more challenging -- I had to make my first one over -- because after I got it made I looked at the sketch and realized one of my elements was way off - So now I have two cards, different sentiments and that's ok.

Here is the sketch:
Then here is my entry for the challenge.
Elements were from my huge scrap pile, Verve Stamps, Papertrey Ink Dies, MS punch and a little pearl and ribbon.

Here is my boo-boo.

I made the center element a circle instead of a rectangle.

Why don't you join in the challenge -- it really is a lot of fun.  I just love seeing what the other did.  Blogger land has some very talented people!

Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Card Patterns Sketch 103

This week Card Patterns is celebrating their 2nd Anniversary.  All week they are spotlighting one of their Design Team Members and giving us a chance to win an Anniversary Present!!  Today they are spotlighting Vanessa Menhorn.  Leave a comment on her blog and there will be a random drawing -- maybe it will be your name!

This is the sketch for this week.  I had to admit this was a challenge for me!
I made this with my grandson in mind.  He plays basketball with Upwards Basketball and loves it.  So I made this to encourage him.
I used the sets from Papertry Ink called "have a ball" and "All-Star Team".  The textured paper is from Oasis and used Kraft and White cardstocks, a little embossing power and a some twine.  Quick card that's for sure!

Thanks for looking and have a HAPPY stamping day!

Papertrey Ink Glitter Project

All this week Papertrey Ink has a glitter tutorial -- quick and easy to follow instructions!  First I love Scor-tape!  It is so easy to tear or cut.  Paptertrey Ink wants you to make a card using glitter and scor-tape and then post it to their Inlinkz -- so easy!

I learned a couple of things.  One is that, white glitter on white cardsstock needs to be chunky glitter, and glitter is hard to photograph! That is one of the reasons I love Paptertrey's challenges - I always learn so much!

So here is my card.
Stamps:  Fillable Frames #10 and Borders and Corners Squares (sentiment).  The ribbon is Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for looking at my card and....

Have a HAPPY stamping day!

Repeat Impressions - Case Card

For the Creative Belli Challenge, please scroll down one post -- thank you.

Wendy gives us the opportunity to case one of the members of the Repeat Impressions team.  This week it is sweet Ayana.  Here is her card.
I love this sketch and ended up making two cards.  Here they are:
This one uses the stamp Everyday with.... and Flowering Vine.  I embossed the sentiment with white EP and colored the flowers with glitter Spica Pens --- too bad the sparkle just doesn't photograph well.

This one uses the stamp Loves Me (which I ADORE) and Daisy (isn't this just the sweetest stamp!) The Loves Me was stamped on vellum and embossed with black ep and the sentiment and daisy was embossed with white ep and I used a MS punch for the heart border.

Here are the other Design Team Members

Button Project for Papertrey Ink

My granddaughter had a little time between her classes and her job so she came to spend some time with me -- she is 19 and in her first year of college.  I was in the middle of a project for a Papertrey Ink Challenge -- so she helped -- we had a ball working on these!
She made one for her friend that is a boy! and her best friend.  I made two of them for the  Bible Study Fellowship Area Team members that I travel with.  I will make three more for my daughters.  They go together so fast!  One seam and they are done:

Supplies:  Papertrey Ink's Lunch Box Note Die
Papertrey Ink's Felt in various colors
                 Corner Rounder
                  Vintage Buttons

Go to Heather Nichols Blog to read more about them.

Repeat Impressions - WHAT IF WEDNESDAY

We got snow!!! A real rarity for this part of Texas.  I know some of my blog friends have 10-12 inches of snow and are going to work and no big deal!  BUT here we get ONE inch and the whole city is at a stand-still!!  We are just not used to it!

Here is the sketch from Repeat Impressions for this week:
 Here is my card:
The stamp is Wishing you a day. 8616-E and Heart Tea Cup 4523-C.  The paper is from gcd and the ruffle edge crepe paper is Melissa Francis.  I used a glitter pen on the little heart - it shows up grey, but actually is glittery!

Why don't you join - you could win a $25.00 gift certificate for just participating!  We would love to see what you do with this sketch.  You DO NOT have to use Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you do your name will be entered twice in the random drawing.  Just make a card with this sketch, link your card on the Repeat Impressions Blog and your set!!  If you use a gallery to display your cards be sure to reference Repeat Impressions Sketch F911.

Thank you for leaving a comment - I appreciate your time.

Papertrey Valentine Favors

For years I've been making my grandchildren's Valentines for their classmates.  This year I used Papertrey's totally neat dies -- these are some of the best dies I've ever used!  I used the Favor It Basket and Box dies.  I also used the Tiny Treats Valentine and Tiny Treats Birthday Stamps.   I know that one day soon they will be too old for these, and that time goes so quickly.

There is a Tiny Treats Christmas and Tiny Treats Halloween.  - I'm saving my Starbucks money to get those!

I made 85 of these sweet little treat boxes for 4 grandchildren.
Thanks for looking treasure days with your grandkids!

Creative Belli Challenge - Jewelry!

For REPEAT IMPRESSIONS CASE CARD scroll down one! -- Thank you!

This was a FUN challenge.  We were to use jewelry in our project!  Well, I'm a pearl girl.  Just ask anyone who knows me.  I'm like June Cleaver - I wear my pearls even when cleaning the house.  My personal trainer even laughs at me because he said he has never had anyone -- except me who exercises with their pearls on.  So... how could I make a jewelry challenge without pearls?  So here is my card.
Stamp by Repeat Impressions, paper by Making Memories
