Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge

For this week's challenge, Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions created this sketch for us.
And here is the card I made
The large image is called Happy Bee, the sentiment is called Just "Bee" cause and also the little Bee.

All of the Rock Stars would love to see what you would do with this sketch.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Repeat Impression's Anything Goes Challenge

Good morning!  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions is letting us go wild with an Anything Goes Challenge - whoah!!! What ya' gonna do?  I'm posting one of the cards I made earlier this week as I was doing my Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions.
I used some of the mineral paper I had left over and heat embossed the white Large Butterfly on vellum and then embossed the You did it sentiment on a panel of vellum.

With a wide open challenge like this - it is always interesting to see what you do.  I come away with some great inspiration - so show us what you did!

You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Project of the Week

Wowie!! I just got back from an event for card makers where we learned new techniques and found some fabulous inspiration.  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has asked me to do Project of the Week and I'll show you one of the techniques we learned.  Here are the supplies you will need.

1.  Mineral Paper - First a little about mineral paper -- it's made from rocks - not trees!  It is silky, very flexible and a dream to work with.  I can't believe how soft and creamy it is.  This pad is 11x14.
2.  Alcohol Inks - in your favorite colors (3-4 colors)
3.  Rubbing Alcohol - needs to be the 99% - the 70% doesn't work as well and tends to just wet the paper.

That's it for supplies.

Take one sheet and drop your chosen colors one at a time onto the paper in random drops - you can fill the entire page or leave some white areas.

Spray the paper with the alcohol or randomly add drops of the alcohol.  It is amazing the patterns the alcohol makes -- WARNING --- it is addictive! (and fun!)

Then have stamps and dies ready to cut out and stamp - before you know it you will have 8-10 cards made in no time!  Great for making card sets to give as gifts.

Here are 6 of the 8 cards I made.  The other two will be posted on different challenges.

I used the sentiments Thanks So Much, Hello and Get Well Soon.

These use the sentiments Thanks So Much, time to celebrate and Happy Birthday.

I hope you give this a try.  Be sure to wear an apron - alcohol inks stain (ask me how I know).  It is fun and I'd love to see what you create!

Repeat Impression's Inspiration Challenge

Hey friends, after a couple of weeks off - I'm back......  Today Wendy owner of  Repeat Impressions has an Inspiration Pallet for us to try.
Oh, my goodness don't you just love those colors!!  Here is my card.
I went with the dark tones and it so reminded me of coffee!  Everything reminds me of coffee.  Wanna know a secret?  That paper is wall paper!  Yikes - found it in an old Wallpaper Sample book.  The coffee cup image is called Thanks a Latte and the sentiment is from the Bottoms Up series.

So how about your - great time to win a gift certificate from Repeat Impressions!

We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Repeat Impressions' Special Lady Challenge

Today at Repeat Impressions we have been challenged to make a card for a special lady.  This card is going to a friend I don't get to see but once a year.

I did a no line watercoloring technique for the image called Spring Blossoms.  The sentiment Sending Smiles was head embossed with black embossing powder on a piece of vellum cut out with the rectangle from the Flip Stitch Die set so that it would match with the stitched rectangle.

Do you have a special lady you would like to make a card for.  Why not take the challenge and send that card out?  We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.
