Anything Goes Challenge at Repeat Impressions!

Ok - here we go ..... --- Love, love this challenge...  Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions seems to know exactly what day to announce the exact challenge I need.

I have love "experimenting" with watercolors.  I stink at watercoloring! HAAHA - but I have had fun working, watching videos and learning.  This card was a fail/learning card - I diligently watercolored it after watching a video - and it was an epic failure!  But instead of throwing it in the trash.  I took a wide brush and painted water all over it and then because I didn't even want to look at it, I covered it up with a paper towel.  I went off to do some other things and came back to clean up.  Oh my - all the colors were softened and actually looked pretty good.  So.....here's my card

I heat embossed with white embossing powder the Flower Power Background stamp (one of my favorites) and put the Happy Spring sentiment on a vellum die cut.

Now is a good time to join in the challenge --  you could win the $25.00 gift certificate that Wendy is offering in a random drawing.

You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.
Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Thank you for looking at my card.

Stained Glass Stamping

Good morning!  It's my turn to do Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions.  I have to say this one was so much fun - I got a little carried away and this took very little time to finish.

Here are your supplies
A few copics or pencils
Embossing Supplies
Misti Stamping or stamping block
A few framing dies
medium weight vellum
Stamps:
Rose Window
Iris Window
Cross Window
Grape Window

1.  Heat emboss each stamp with black embossing powder.  I know that some do not like to emboss with black powder - but use a good embossing buddy, embossing magic tool or an EK success tool and cover your vellum well, the black embossing powder then will only stick to the stamped image. Then melt the embossing powder.   I stamped 4 at a time here.

2.  Turn the embossed window images over and color on the BACKSIDE.  This is quick and does not have to be perfect.
3.  Pick out your favorite die frames and frame up your colored windows.  I cut 4 at a time on my die cutting machine and again this is a very quick process.  I put the heat embossed side up (colored side down) and I used a xyron sticker machine to attach the colored vellum windows to the die cut frames.

4.  Then these were put on a small die cut note card.  Now I have 4 note cards made in less than 30 minutes.

I have to say I just love these little square stain glass windows.  They are so so so pretty.  Here are my finished cards.

The Cross Window(my favorite) was off-set so that the sunshine embossing would show.  These little note cards are about 4x4.

Thanks for looking at my project of the week.

Repeat Impression Inspiration Palette Challenge

Hello Stamping Friends!  Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has issued an Inspirational Challenge for this week.  Here is the picture
WOW - aren't those colors gorgeous!!

Here is my card
The Morning Glories images were colored with copics and cut out using my Cricut Maker.  Four images were cut and I layered them with popdots.  The Happy Birthday is from the sentiment called Wishing you happiness - but I did a little stamp surgery so that the Happy Birthday part of the sentiment would fit on the vellum die cut.  A few pearls were added to dry embossed cardstock. Although you can't see, the morning glories were covered with Wink of Stella.

I used Polkadots, Paper piecing and pink.  I just love these little Ballerina pigs - I dressed them up in little tutu's cut out of designer paper - the middle one is on a mini-wobbler - so she dances.  The sentiment is called Hope your Birthday...

All Creatures Great & Small

Good Morning!  Have you ever read the book All Creatures Great & Small by James Herriot?  It is a book near and dear to our family's heart.  My husband was a veterinarian and our family relates to so many of the situations in the book.  Our family read this book out loud when our kids were small.

Cheri, one of the Rock Star Designers for Repeat Impressions issued us the challenge to do a card with "all creatures great & small".  So here is my card

It is a triple "door open" card - I used the images called Tiny Bird(flight) and Tiny Bird(front).  These are such cute little birds - I did a mirror stamping with the one on the left.  The sentiment is called Spring Is....

What stamps do you have that are "all creatures great & small"?  Now is a good time to join in the challenge --  you could win the $25.00 gift certificate that Wendy is offering in a random drawing.
