This is the Good Life

Hello, Joy here today.  I wanted to show you a card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.
The pink base and banner paper (Lady Rose by KaiserCraft)were cut using the  die set, Blueprints 13 from My Favorite Things.  Then The sentiment base was cut using Spellbinders Labels Eighteen (on sale) and green paper from LadyRose by KaiserCraft was die cut using A2 Matting Basics by Spellbinders.  The sentiment base was shaded using the Tim Holt Mini Inking Tool before it was stamped with the sentiment called You Are Beautiful.   The sentiment panel was popped up using the Large Joy Foam Pads.

My two favorite supplies from this card are the Blueprints 13 die set and the A2 Matting Basics.   Both are my favorite "go to" tools. I feel like if I have these cut out, the card almost makes itself! Hope you get some time to do some crafting -- or browsing the on line store at Classy Cards 'n Such.  Remember they have a wish list tool that when you put items you would like on the list, those items will stay until you remove them.
Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Cast All Your Cares

Hello, here is a card that I made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store for this week's challenge.  When I saw the floral tea cups, I knew that the colors would determine how I met the challenge.

This started with pink paper from Candy Cane Lane by Bo Bunny and a scrap of flower paper.  The small picture frame around the sentiment Cast All Your Cares by JustRite Stamps is matted on Gold Mirricard card stock.  The polkadot paper is from Key To My Heart by KaiserCraft was die cut with extra leaf die in the Massa Leaf Frame by PoppyStamps.  The tiny bow was cut 3 times and stacked to give it dimension.  It is the tiny bow from the Pennant Swag by Our Daily Bread.

This would be a good week to join in the challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such.  Go to Beverly's blog, Classy Cards 'n Such.blogspot.com and see all the guidelines and you would be the winner of a nice prize.

Repeat Impressions Inspirational Challenge

Today the Inspiration challenge at Repeat Impressions is this picture.

And this is my project.  The sweet little treat boxes called Stamp A Box were stamped on different kinds of paper.  The tiny cluster of hearts stamped on two of them is from the Little Fill 'Ns Series called Random Hearts.  I made about 30 of these fairly quickly and handed them out on Valentine's Day to anybody I met - the lady at the grocery store and some of my Starbuck buddies.  Everywhere I went I handed them out.  It was so much fun and everyone was so pleased.  I'm going to do it again on St. Patrick's Day.  This time I'll either use the butterfly or rose Stamp A Box.  I'm wondering what they will look like made of vellum.
Ok, now it's your turn.  Make a project with the Inspirational Photo in mind and link up your project on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built.  She will pick a random name for a really nice gift certificate.

Here is the list of Rock Star Designers who have made projects to inspire you.
Why not take this opportunity to challenge a friend to join you - it will be fun to see who wins!  Check out Wendy's blog to to see all the details and link your card.

With Love

Hi, Joy here today.  Showing you an early Valentine card with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.
I started with one of the flowers from the Thankful Blooms set by Sweet and Sassy and stamped around the edges of a piece of blue cardstock that had been die cut from Blueprints 13 by My Favorite things.  From a white panel a heart was die cut and a heart a frame was made using a Classic Scallop Heart by Spellbinders. Little flowers from the stamp set by JustRite called Spring Words was stamped around part of the heart and the "with Love" sentiment from the same set stamped in the lower left.  An arrow from Blueprints 13 was die cut and stamped with a tiny xoxoxo sentiment from Our Daily Bread's Ornate Frame Sentiments and attached to the edge of the heart frame. The stitch line on the white panel is from the Blueprints 13 Die set.  A piece of velum was embossed using Crowned Medallion by Anna Griffin and put behind the framed heart.  A layered button was topped with a Pink Rock Candy and a little twine from Doodlebug Doodle Twine completed the card.

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Good Morning!  I thought I'd show you a couple of cards made with an Embossing technique and a few Repeat Impressions stamps.  Here are the supplies you will need
1.  Repeat Impression stamp called Wings Positive, vertical sentiment called Thinking of You and Happy Birthday from someone who loves you
2.  Glossy Card Stock
3.  Dye Ink - the brighter the color the better
4.  Embossing Pad
5.  Brayer
6.  Embossing Powder, I used gold

Stamp and heat emboss Repeat Impressions image on the glossy card stock
Ink up the brayer well, moving the brayer over the ink pad in even strokes, making sure the
      brayer is covered

Evenly move the inked brayer over the embossed image, inking the image first

Move the brayer over the other parts of the cardstock
In these cards I wanted the image background to be darker than the other parts of the card
Continue inking up the card until it is the desire color depth.

Here are the cards I made using this technique

I heat embossed 2 sentiments on colored vellum in gold and attached to the inked images and then added 2 gold strips of paper to the top and bottom of each piece of glossy card stock and then attached to some designer paper and then put on a card base.

Thanks for looking at my cards.  Have a HAPPY stamping day!
