Stamps of Life #2

Ok, my goal was to post 1 card a week on Tuesdays for the Stamps of Life -- because I love their clear stamps so much.  Well, I'm a few days late, but here it is!

I'm in such a fall mood -- went to the craft store here and they had fall garlands, pumpkins, cute little scarecrows and it really put me in the mood!

So here is my card:
I used "racoons2love" - for the acorns, "daisies2love" for the stem, "turtles2love" for the leaves and the happy is from "hearts2love".  The word "fall" was cut with an old nestabilities alphabet die.

I tried to use 2 different colors of ink on the leaves so they would look "fallish".  I heat embossed the leaves so they show a little shine.

Thanks for looking at my card.  Be sure to stop by Stephanie Bernard's "Stamps of Life" and see her videos!  She has a great blog here.

Thank you for looking at my card - have a HAPPY stamping day.

Creative Belli School Challenge

Good morning!  Has school started in your area?  All public schools in our area started this week.  I went to my daughters to keep her two preschool kids while she took her oldest to his first day.  He was really tired by the end of the day!  But, boy did he have fun --- and I think mom missed him more than he missed her!  What a day for the both of them.

Darsie owner of the Creative Belli Challenge blog will be picking a "Bell of the Belli Challenge" for September so get your projects ready -- this will be a fun challenge.  She challenges us to make a project that is schooled themed - it can be anything - 3D, scrapbook layout, card or banner -- anything you want as long as it is school themed.

The spirit of the Belli challenges is to encourage you to use your OLD and FORGOTTEN embellishments! Everyone is welcome to play along! Challenge a stamping friend! Just follow the theme and add your direct link to our inlinkz widget below.

If you upload to a gallery, please use keyword CBC151.
 Here is my card:
Stamps are from Stephanie Bernard's Stamps of Life called Crayons2Stamp

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge

Every two weeks Wendy, owner Repeat Impressions, lets one member of the Design Team to challenge us to a project.  This week it is Lynette's turn and she challenged us to make a project with flowers - stamped, 3D, paper, felt -- anything, as long as your project uses flowers.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps, but if you have them, we would like to see them.  Here is my card:

I am so ready for fall, that I'm turning to using fall papers and themes -- hoping it will make fall come sooner!  The stamp is called Dandelion Breeze.  I just did a little making and made it a "fall" flower - sort of!

Here is the list of Designer who made projects to inspire you:  We have a couple of new team members - be sure to stop by their blogs and give them a special little encouragement.

Stamp TV Blog Hop for August

If you have come from Geri's blog you are right on target.  If not, you might want to start here at Stamp TV Blog Hop, in order not to miss any of the projects that the Alumni Design Team have prepared.  For this hop Gina K is offering a Grab Bag of Gina K stamps!  All you have to do is comment on each one of the Designer's projects.  Then on Tuesday Gina will pick a random winner from the comments!

This month Carolina has asked Geri to give us a little inspiration.  Here is the photo that Geri provided for us:
Does this put you in the fall mood or what?!

Here is my card:

I used the stamp set, "Hello Sunshine" and the sentiment is from "So Grateful".  I stamped the larger flower in Memento Cantaloupe, the middle size in Memento Potter's Clay and the tiny center is actually a snowflake from "The Magic of Christmas" stamped in a green ink.  I then added a few little dots with a Copic marker.  For cardstock I used the colors, Ivory and Crandberry Tart.

Now hop along to Kay's blog's and you will just adore her card.

Thank you for looking at my card - and don't forget to leave your comments - so your name can be entered into the drawing for the fabulous collection of GKD stamps.

I love this stamp set  and in my anticipation of fall wanted to use it.  The stamp set is called Autumn and is one of Wendy's Flip Sets.  Which consist of 4 different images and a sentiment.  For my card I use only one of the images and the sentiment.  Here is my card:

The small leaves were punched out of glitter paper and I used a few copic markers to color the trees.  Here is the list of Design Team members who made cards to inspire you.

Stamps of Life #1

I have a "pre" New Year's Resolution! I want to post a card made from Stephanie Bernard's The Stamps of Life, once a week -- eeekkkk maybe I should have done once a month -- Let's see how long I can keep it up!  Here are two cards:
I needed 3 birthday cards this month and this will be the first one.  It uses Happy2beCircles and .  This set is a big one with more than 25 images and sentiments.  This was one of the first sets I bought because it is not specific to any certain day.  The "Happy Birthday" came from the set Birthday2Celebrate.

My next card is a masculine birthday:
It uses the set called Birthday2celebrate.

Thanks for looking at my cards -- I'll see you next week with another card from Stamps of Life.

Core Cards Creative Frenzy

Core'dinations is having a Design Team call and I made the following projects to submit.

Let me tell you about my experience with Co'ordinations - my sweet sister gave me some of their paper and I thought "That's nice, but I'm not interested in sanding my paper."  Well, she challenged me to do some tearing and gave me this website to check out other techniques to use.  They have some great videos!  I OH MY GOODNESS - I LOVE THIS PAPER!!

There are so many things to do with this besides sand!  Check out their videos and look at all the different kinds of paper they have.  You will love it just as much as I do.  I just recently discover their "Kraft-Core" -- Eeeeekkk, it's wonderful!

Here are my projects:

Mini Album of my Grandchildren.
tags & flowers are from Kraft-core
doily, leaves & flowers are a die cut using the Kraft-core
I'm not going to bore you with all the pages, because I have 7 grandchildren.  Next are two cards I made.
used some of the texture Core'dinations cardstock and the tree & grass are made with the Kraft-core.  The clouds are made from their Glitter cardstock.
Add caption
The two cards use my scraps of Core'dinations cardstock from my Mini-album, using Nestabilities, Tim Holtz and My Favorite Things dies.  I'm not throwing out any of my scraps of Core'dinations paper!!!

One last card I made a few months ago for Repeat Impressions using an embossing folder:

Thanks for looking at my projects!  Have a HAPPY stamping day!
