Anything Goes - Repeat Impressions Challenge

Good morning!  Anything Goes week is always fun and they don't come around very often - only if the month has 5 Wednesdays.  Thanks to Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions - we can really enjoy this challenge!  Here is my card

This is a super simple card that I will mass produce for some of my Christmas card.  It uses the Bokeh technique - so simple, but has dramatic results.  The sentiment is called Christmas in the heart and I heat embossed in on the rectangle die from Fancy Flip Dies.

What a great week to join in Repeat Impressions Weekly Challenge.  Your project can be a 3D project, a scrapbook page or card - let your imagination run wild!!   We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Thanks for looking at my card - have a HAPPY stamping day.

Here is my card.  I use some scraps of water color background paper I created and cut them with the Square Stitched Die from Repeat Impressions, the sentiment is called Christmas and I did a little masking to get the sentiment to fit the die cut circle and stamped the Poinsettia called Tiny Poinsettia and backed it on some gold mirror card stock.

Hi Friends, you are really going to like Repeat Impressions Photo Challenge this week.  It's a cute, cute photo - here it is:
Isn't it cute!!!

So here's my card:
I love, love shaker cards.  The scarecrow's checkered shirt and the leaves in the right upper corner were my inspiration.    The leaves are called Falling Leaves that I stamped, fussy cut and covered with Wink of Stella.  The sentiment is actually the sentiment from a Flip Stamp Set called Autumn.  So what would inspire you from this picture?

Your project for this Photo Inspiration Challenge can be a 3D project, a scrapbook page or card - let your imagination run wild!!

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Good Morning!  Wendy owner of Repeat Impressions asked me to do the Project of the Week and I'm excited to show you how to make a background using watercolors and a stencil.  Here are the supplies you will need:

painters tape
water colors - any kind
Bristol watercolor card stock
a board to tape project onto (I used the back of a small clipboard)
broad paint brush
smaller paint brush
any stencil
Repeat Impressions stamps
Tape your card stock onto the board with the painter's tape.  This will help your card stock not warp.
Put a good coating of water with the broad brush onto the card stock.
Drop different colors onto the coated card stock and let the colors run.  The back of the clip board will be slanted and will allow the paint colors gently blend together.

Tape your chosen stencil to the card stock and squish it down tightly to smash colors together.
Allow to dry naturally or use a heat gun to dry.
After it is dry carefully pull off stencil and embellish.

Here are several others using a flower stencil and a star background.  I used the sentiments called A Birthday is.... and For unto you....

I hope you give this technique a try. Don't be surprised if you get carried away like I did!  Thanks for looking at my project.  Have a Happy Stamping Day!
