Repeat Impression's Designers Choice Challenge

Hi! Today at Repeat Impressions, Cheri challenged us to make a card ringing in the New Year.  So here is my card.
I stamped a white card base using Celebration Burst and embossed it with gold powder.  On a piece of vellum Happy New Year and from All of Us to All of You was stamped in black and the Champagne Bottle was stamped and embossed in gold.  The vellum was attached to the Celebration Burst panel and a gold sparkle strip was added at the top.  The vellum is not attached at the bottom so that the recipient can lift up the vellum panel to look at the celebration burst.

We would love for you to join in the challenge.  Yours could be the randomly selected name to receive a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Make a card and link it at Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built.

Here is a list of the other Design Team members who made project to inspire you.  Check them out and be ready to be impressed.

In the end I used the Spool of Thread, the button and the Sew what's new sentiment from the Pairings Release.

We would love to see how you would used this sketch.  Just make a card or scrapbook page layout and post it on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built.  Yours could be the randomly drawn name to win a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Here is a list of the other Design Team members who made project to inspire you.  Check them out and be ready to be impressed.

Peace on Earth

Joy here today.  I gathered some supplies from Classy Card 'n Such and made a Christmas card using my favorite color.

I die cut Filigree Delight by Spellbinders out of white card stock and placed it on a teal card front. Then heat embossed the image from JustRite stamps Noel Christmas Ornaments with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's White Detail Embossing Powder and inked over using a Tim Holtz mini ink blending tool and distress inks.  This image was die cut using Nested Oval Medallion Labels by Spellbinders  and the Peace on Earth sentiment was heat embossed with the White Detail Embossing Powder then die cut using Spellbinders Fancy Tags Die (which are on sale!!).  I dry embossed a piece of teal card stock with Anna Griffin's Juliet Damask embossing folder and popped up the elements using Large Joy Foam Pads.
Thanks for looking at my card - have a Happy stamping day.

Two for One Project of the Week

Good morning!  It's my turn to show a Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions.  I call this Two for One -- when I can make 2 cards at one time, I feel like I make the most of my card making time.

I die cut a circle into a piece of kraft cardstock.  The kraft colored cut out will be placed on a piece of white cardstock and the kraft negative will be used as a card -- two for one.  Here is what it  looks like:
Then I stamped a couple of images called Love Stencil and Comfy Chair.  The chair was quickly colored with copics.  One chair and two hearts were cut out leaving a small white edge.

The white circle was shaded with an ink.
Kraft card was stamped with the sentiment called Where we love.
The white card was stamped with the sentiments called Happy Hello and I Love You Bunches (the "bunches" word was masked)
Twine was tied at top and pen was used to make fake stitches around the circles.

One of the reason I like to use die cuts is that you can use both the negative and positive These two cards were quick, quick, quick to make.

Thanks for looking at my project.  I hope that the next time you use a die cut, you will take the opportunity to use both the positive and negative.

Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Friend

Good Morning. Joy, here today.   Shaker cards are so much fun.  This one was made using supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.
The background was embossed with the folder from Anna Grifin called Smitten.  In a future post I'll show how you can use this folder for a masculine card.  The red cutout is from the Spellbinders Die Set called Picot Edge Circles.  The fancy friend sentiment stamp is from Just the Right Words by JustRite.  A fabulous set with so many words and phrases.  This would be a basic set that everyone needs,  The yellow strip is a die cut from the set Blueprints 13 by My Favorite Things.  I added a few sequins and it was ready to mail.

I hope this inspires you to try making a shaker card.  Thanks for stopping by, have a HAPPY stamping day.

Have a Happy Day

Hi, it's Joy today showing you a card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  This will be sent to my sweet friend Carla.
Supplies:
The stencil Texture Tessatina by Memory Box was inked with a Mini Ink Tool and some distress inks.  The window was cut using Vintage Labels Two by JustRite.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Stampavie's Sweet Wishes using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's White Detail Embossing Powder on a piece of Heavyweight Vellum.  I like this weight because it doesn't warp when I heat the embossing powder. (I traced the outside of the die to make the small frame around the sentiment and fussy cut it out.)

It's so easy to make cards using Classy Cards 'n Such on line store!  Thanks for looking at my card, have a happy stamping day.

Warm Thoughts

Hi Joy, here today posting a card with supplies I found at the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  I saw a video the other day about coloring on kraft card stock and thought I'd give it a try.  The flower stamp is Botanical Medallions & Banners by JustRite Stamps.  I love the flourish that is in this stamp set.  The main rectangle was cut with Matting Basics A by Spellbinders. I really like using these because I know the sides will be even and fit perfectly on my card.  I heat embossed with Sparkle 'n Sprinkles' White Detail Embossing Powder and colored with a few copics.  I added a few tiny dot details with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen called Ice White

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a Happy Stamping day!

Christmas Wishes

Hi, Joy here.   Today I am getting my Christmas decorations down and wanted to take time to make a card for this week's challenge.  All the supplies to make this card are found at Classy Cards 'n Such.  The challenge was to use Designer Paper and bows.
The paper is from a paper pad called Believe is by Authentique.  The Santa round cut is on an edge of one of the sheets.  The wishes sentiment is from the die set called Greetings by Impression Obsession and the Christmas die is from Merry Christmas Background by Poppy Stamps.  I popped up the circles with the small Joy Foam Pads to give it a little dimension.  The dies were adhered using Art Institute Adhesive.  It has a tiny, tiny Metal Tip that is fabulous for small die cuts.  Once you use this glue and the tiny metal tip, you will never use anything else!  It has amazing precision.

Be sure to check out the great Christmas card and project supplies at  Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

Thank you for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day.
