Anything Goes Challenge

Hello Friends.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas day -- did you get any stamping goodies?  Well this would be a great challenge to try those new goodies out.  Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has challenge us to "ANYTHING GOES".  So - try out that new embossing folder - or that new die cutting machine - or just any thing!

I love this little frog image called Happy Frog and is part of a large series called Contain Yourself - so cute!  The sentiment Toad You is also a part of that series.  Check it out -- it is so cute and has some great images and sentiments.

This would be a good week to join us in this challenge.  You could win the $25.00 gift certificate that Wendy is offering in a random drawing. You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Anything But a Card

Good morning friends!  Today our challenge at Repeat Impressions is Anything But a Card.  Here is my project.  These are a few of my grandkids.

I used the stamps

SnowGlobe 8901-L
Merry Christmas  8904-I (part of a sentiment called from one flake...)

I cut the globes with my Cricut Maker - but these can easily be fussy cut.  I also used a die to cut a circle out in the middle of the globe and make little shaker cards using clear plastic and a few glitter sprinkles and stars.  I attached some tinsel string to hang on my Christmas Tree.  A few I left plain, on a few some comic markers were used to color the base to look like wood.

Pick of the Week

Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions is letting me pick a few stamps and show how I've used them.

Here is a small Travel Journal I've made.  The big 12x12 photo albums have become too much for me to do and they take up so much room in my bookcase so I've started making these little albums.  I print the pictures out on a home printer and cut them so they are about 3x2 inches.  I use a Canon Selphy or an LG pocket printer.  They are many, many models and some start at 72.99.  This little book measures 3.5x5 and has 18 pages and has lots of room for pics of my summer in Maine.  Here are just a few of them.

The stamps I used are
East Africa Map - I think it works well as just a map - not necessarily used for Africa
Travel Memories
Maine Lobster (I used the word Maine only)
Small Blueberry Cluster
Maine the way Life Should Be
Beautiful Days (love this script)
Cheers

I will be making another one of these for my Christmas pics.  It's so much fun to match up the pics with sentiments and little images. -- And Repeat Impressions is chock full of great ones.  Thanks for looking at my little album.
