Lake House Paper Leftovers

Hi Joy today, showing you a card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  By now everyone knows how much I love the papers from Lake House by Kaisercraft.  I've had a hard time throwing away all of the little scraps of this paper.   But today I laid them out and made two cards.  Here are the scraps:
Here is one card
I cut some of the scraps into triangles and glued 8 of them down on a piece of cardstock then die cut a Spellbinders heart from the grouping.  I also die cut a  large Spellbinders Scallop Heart from some of the pink paper from the collection  and die cut the small heart from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 4 die set.  The green card base was also cut from the Blueprints 4 set.  I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from JustRite's Hugs & Kisses Sentiments stamp set using Versamark and heat embossed it using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's White Detail Embossing Powder.  I added a little scallop die to the right hand edge that was punched out from the Lake House Papers.  There are quite a few small paper embellishments and tags in this pad of paper.  The heart was popped up with Joy Foam Pads.

Thanks for looking at my "scrappy" card.  Watch for the next one.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Sunny Days at Classy Cards 'n Such

Joy, here today posting a card for Classy Cards 'n Such.  Don't you just love sunny days?  Our rainy time is coming and I know I'll be wishing for them.  So I made a card just for those days.
This card uses the sentiment and frame from Just Rite's Black-Eyed Susan and the Spellbinders die cut called Vintage Labels Five.  This is such an elegant die.  Because I wanted to create a little dimension and make the sentiment stand out, I heat embossed the sentiment using Sparkle & Sprinkles Black Detail Embossing Powder then colored the background of the frame with a copic marker to match the plaid.  Then it was popped up using those great Joy Foam Pads that I just love.  I created the plaid with a Mini-Ink Tool, narrow masking tape, different colors of ink pads, a ruler and an ink pen.

Here's hoping you see sunny days ahead.  Thank you for looking at my card - have a happy stamping day.

Fall Plaid Challenge

Hello friends.  It's Joy here today showing a card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such for this weeks Fall Plaid Challenge.

I made the plaid using strips of masking tape and blending ink with the Tim Holtz Mini Ink Blending Tool.  Three colors of ink were applied starting with lightest color (yellow) and ending with a bright green.  I made the dark lines using a t-ruler and a black ink pen.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a die by Poppy Stamps called Happy Birthday Background.  The banner was popped up using Small Joy Foam Pads.  The fall leaf strip is from Harvest Lane by Simple Stories.  I added the little leaves and on top of the leaves I added a few Orange Rock Candy embellishments by Queen & Co.

Hey, how about joining in the challenge - you could be the winner of a nice prize from Classy Cards 'n Such.  Go go to Classy Cards 'n Such blog and check out all the details.

Cherish by Classy Cards n Such

Hello friends.  It's Joy here today posting a card that I made for my sister - who loves the color purple/lilac.  This card was made using supplies I found in the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

I inked up a piece of white card stock with  a Mini Ink Blending tool and ink and a then laid down a stencil by Memory Box called Texture Tessatina over the card stock.  With the same color of distress ink I colored over the stencil which left a very vibrant color.  The die from Spellbinders called Nested Oval Medallion Label was used to cut the frame from a JustRite stamp set called Just Keep Calm.  This stamp set has TONS of words and 4 beautiful frames.    The hydrangea is from the Just Rite Stamp Set called Botanical Medallions & Banners.  A Gold Viva Decor Pearl Pen was used to make little centers in the flowers.  The colored image was popped up with Joy Foam Pads.  A banner was cut from the die set called Classic Ribbons by Poppystamps.  Then the Cherish sentiment was heat embossed on vellum using Black Detail Embossing Powder by Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.

Thanks for looking at my card, I hope you have a HAPPY stamping day.

Swing Card

Hi Joy here today showing you my card made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  This card comes with a story.  We have a large elk head in my dinning room.  When my grand kids were little (3/4 years old), it was very scary to them.  We finally told them it was Rudolph, the red nose reindeer
and put a small red ball on its nose.  From then on it did not scare them.  So when I see or hear a story about reindeer, I think of the elk in my dinning room.

For this challenge I decided to do a swing card.

I used the die called Accordion Flip Album, and cut 2 of the dies to put together.   The image and sentiment are from Flourishes and called Mountain View.  The paper is from Kaisercraft and called Holly Bright.  I love the front die cut with the little white flower which I popped up with a few Joy Foam Pads.  The die cut is from the Holy Bright paper pad.  This pad has 4 pages of really neat die cuts.  I lightly colored the image with a few Tim Holtz Distress Markers.

Why don't you join in the challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such?  You could be the winner of a nice prize.  Go to Beverly's blog, Classy Cards 'n Such.blogspot.com.  Check out the particulars there, see some great inspirational cards and link your card there!

Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day!

It's Looking Like Fall at Classy Cards n Such

Good morning! Joy here today.  We are not yet seeing fall leaves, but pumpkins are out at the store and everyone seems to be getting ready for it.  At Classy Cards 'n Such, the challenge for this week is for fall trees, leaves or plants.  Here is my card:
I colored these to look like fall mums.  I embossed the flowers and banner from the stamp set by JustRite called Botanical Medallions & Banners while the butterfly is from Black-Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five by JustRite.  The embossed background is an Anna Griffin folder called Rose Pavillion.

I heat embossed the images using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle White Detail Embossing Powder on vellum and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, fussy cut them out, then popped up the images with Joy Foam Pads.  Sequins were added to the flower centers and a few scattered on the embossed cardstock.

I hope your days are getting cooler and fall colors will soon be in your area.

Thanks for looking at my card - have a happy stamping day!

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Hi Stamping Friends!  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions asked me to share a project with you.  I'd like to show you how to use Washi tape for a masked frame.  It's easy and I bet you have a great stash of washi tape - I have a confession - I have tons of it!  It comes in so many sizes.  Here are a few

Take the size you like and put it right against the sides of your card - this way you will have a nice even frame.  Then stamp your image.

Gently remove the washi tape and use a t-ruler to mark a fine lined frame around your image,

I colored the leaves with a few copics and matted it on some card stock.  The image I used is Falling Leaves and the sentiment is from a flip set called Autumn Flip Set.

This is so easy to do - check out the Repeat Impression stamps that you have and see how you can use them.  I am doing a pumpkin one using the Halloween pumpkins next.

Thanks for looking at my project.  Have a happy stamping day!
