Repeat Impressions Anything Goes Challenge

Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions let us have free rein!  Yeah!! Today her challenge to us is ANYTHING GOES!  Yikes!  That leaves a heck of a lot of freedom!  I needed a masculine get well card and this was perfect time to get it done!
I split the sentiment called Recovery from the Quartet Compliment Series (fabulous sentiment series)  and the image called Get Well Post.  The image was put on top of a stitched square die that I highlighted with a white gel pen.

Now it's your turn....We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

My Wish For You

Hi!  Today it's Joy here showing you a card I made for the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge called Colors and Patterns.  I'm always interested in how patterns are put together, so I will really be looking forward to seeing what you do!

A scallop die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 4, those great dimensional Large Joy Foam Pads to pop up the sentiment and a few scraps from my HUGE pile is all that was needed for this card.  Classy Cards 'n Such made this an easy challenge!

Now remember to take a look at the easy-peasy guidelines that Beverly has posted on the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog, make a project - it can be a card, layout or even a 3D project - perhaps a wall hanging and link it on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog or here below in my post.

Thanks for looking at my card - I can't wait to see your projects!

Good morning friends!  A few supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such online store can help making thank you cards quick and easy.  Let me show you.
This post card is one of the many you can find in the 12x12 pad called By the Sea by Graphic 45.  I die cut the sail boat with the stitched rectangle die from Blueprints 13 by My Favorite Things and die cut the little flags with a banner die.  The "Thanks" sentiment is from Thankful Blooms by Sweet 'n Sassy.  Each one of the elements were shaded with tea dye ink and a Mini Inking Tool by Tim Holtz.  All the elements were popped up using Joy Foam Pads.

This card was easy, easy, easy because Classy Cards 'n Such had all the supplies and the shipping is always fast!

Thanks for looking at my card - have a happy stamping day!

WHAT IF WEDNESDAY.....

Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions issues us a challenge each week and calls it What If Wednesday.  She says "What if I gave you this sketch?  What would you do?"  So this is the sketch she drew for us this week.
and here is my card.
I used the Lightening Bug Jar image, fussy cut it out, used a few copics and covered it in Glossy accents.  I then added the one little bug from the Flip set called Bug Flip Set.  These were popped up using foam pads on top of stitched square dies.

We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Good Morning! Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions asked me to show you a "project".  Today it will be embossing without an embossing folder.

Here are the few supplies:
1. a score board
2. embossing tool
3. 3.5 x 5.25 piece of cardstock

First make a small mark at the bottom of scoring board at the 3 mark - this will help in the scoring process for this pattern.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment close to the bottom of the first piece of cardstock and made a score line above it.  Then placed the cardstock at an angle with the tip at the 3 inch mark - here is where the small mark at the bottom will help line it up straight.  Then score every .25 (1/4 inch mark), turn and repeat on the other side - being careful not to go past the line above the sentiment.

This is what the cardstock should look like half done.

Here are two patterns made just by turning the cardstock.  This type of scoring can be finished in just a few short minutes.
Here are two finished cards using this technique

The first sentiment is called Warm Memories and the other card has the Happy Birthday sentiment and Small Butterfly from the Summer Series.

Give this technique a try and see what kind of pattern you can make - it's so easy and takes just a few short minutes.

Have a happy stamping day!

Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday

July is almost over!  Summer is going by so fast! Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions challenged us with this inspirational photo

I like the blue and red, so this is my card.  It will go to my brother-in-law who is retiring next month and just bought a red pick-up truck and 5th wheel.

I used the Retirement sentiment and Fifth Wheel/pickup from the Vacation Series.

His Care

Good morning friends!  Today it's Joy showing you what I did for this week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such.  Our challenge was to make a project using the colors Kraft, Red and White.

The paper is from Home Sweet Home by Graphic 45.  I had no kraft colored paper so I took a piece of lighter colored solid from French Country by Graphic 45 and used a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool to cover it with a tea dye colored ink -- instant kraft color!  YEAH! - didn't have to run out and buy!  The stars are from My Favorite Things die set called Blueprints 13.

Do you see the stitching?  Well that is custom made by using the tiny little line die in Blueprints 13.  I LOVE IT - because I can duplicate any of the popular stitching dies by using this line die.  I checked and most of those stitching die sets are around $25-$30 for each set!  I can custom any size by using this line die.  It's hard to see in the set, but look closely and you will see it.

The stars were covered with Wink of Stella and then covered with Glossy Accents.  They were then popped up using Small Joy Foam Pads. and the sentiment is from God Is by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

Thanks for looking at my card - have a happy stamping day!

What If Wednesday at Repeat Impressions

Good morning friends!  Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions asked Patti to challenged us to make a card using white plus one other color.  What Would You Do?  Here is what I did.
The image is Lobster and I did a little creative cutting of the stamp and made the sentiment "Maine" separate.

What color would you use?  We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Butterfly Thank You

Hello!  Today I wanted to share with you a card I made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  This is for this week's "Splatter" Challenge.

I started by inking up a stencil using the Tim Holtz Mini-Inking tool -- made inking this stencil easy! Then I stamped the Majestic Monarch Butterflies by Sweet 'n Sassy on some Heavyweight Vellum; die cut them using the matching Majestic Monarch Dies  and colored with Copics.  I mixed up some Ultramarine Blue Color Bursts by Ken Oliver very thin and splattered it with a paintbrush.  I waited until it was very dry and then stamped the Thank You sentiment from Thankful Blooms by Sweet 'n Sassy and then used the small Joy Foam Pads to mount the butterflies and added the panel to a pretty piece of Vintage Bliss designer paper by  Simple Stories.

Thank you for looking at my card - This would be a great day to join in the fun at the "Splatter" challenge with Classy Cards 'n Such.  Just go to Classy Cards 'n Such blogspot.com, take a look at the guidelines, make your project and link it there on Beverly's blog or here below.

I'm looking forward to seeing your "Splatter" projects!
