Hi - it's Joy with a Project of the Week. I was so excited when I saw the new layered stamp set Wendy released called Flower Power Separates. I discovered several ways to do layered stamping with the red rubber. Here is one of them.
The only supplies you are going to need are a good pair of scissors to cut the red rubber and a permanent marker - I use the red Tim Holtz Tonic scissors. They are sharp and can make precise small cuts.
I trimmed each flower separate very close - closer than normal
On each stamp, a petal or a distinct part of each piece was identified and marked on the back. I marked the outline stamp and the fill in stamp in the same place with a permanent marker.
I did not use the cling foam on these. They are going to remain unmounted because I will use a MISTI or when I stamp, I will use a foam pad underneath my cardstock.
In the above picture you can see how I have marked each one. This will make it easy to line up the outline layer with the solid layer. These will be stuck on a clear acrylic stamping block with a small glue dot.
Here is a card I made using the identifying marks to help me line up the outline image with the solid image.
I'm hoping you will give this a try. Let us know how it works out for you.

Brilliant - what a great idea. TFS
This was a perfect POTW, Joy!!! This is how I mark these types of stamps too. I'm sure there will be lots of "ah'ha's" on this. :)
