Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday

Today, Wendy of Repeat Impressions challenged us to make a card with this sketch

I used the technique called Pointillism - by using small little dots, I filled in the flower image from Flower Power and the sentiment is Life is Measured.

Now it's your turn.  What would you do?  We would love for you to show it off in the gallery at The House That Stamps Built.  You can go to that page and see all the details - especially those details about the prize Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions will be giving to some lucky person.

Your project  for this photo challenge can be a 3D project, a scrapbook page or card - let your imagination run wild!!   We look forward to seeing what you will do with the challenge.    You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Hi Joy here today and it is my turn to do the Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions.  I'm wanting to share a new trick I learned this last week.    The following pictures will show you how to center a sentiment or image in a window.  This is especially useful for the rubber stamps that are not clear.

1.  Cut out the window using your favorite cutting machine.  Here I'm showing the sentiment I want
     centered.

2.  Here I have laid open the card
Use a little washi tape to secure the card to a grid mat.
Center the sentiment or image using the grid lines in the window

3.  Ink up the stamp and close the back of the card to the front and gently press down on the backside of the card.

Easy - Peazy!!!  I love centering my sentiments and images this way - don't need a Stamp-a-ma-jig or Misti or any other tool.

Finished card
The sentiment is called A Friend and the flowers stamped on paper and vellum are from the new series called Flower Power.

Thanks for looking at my Project of the Week.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Holy Crap! ...... It's a Blog Hop

Please join us at The House That Stamps Built for a blog hop celebrating Repeat Impressions' newest stamp series... Holy Crap! Yup, hehe... it's true... Wendy's designed a humorous collection of stamps around something she's confessed to saying a little too often.
This new stamp series starts with a large "holy crap!" sentiment which can be paired with any of the great variety of smaller words and sentiments to create a wide range of funny cards. A few theme appropriate images are also included. Please visit Repeat Impressions' online store to check out the entire Holy Crap! collection.
So today all the RI Rock Stars are kicking off a blog hop to showcase some of the new designs and also give you an opportunity to win the stamps!  Here are two cards I made with one of the images and a couple of sentiments from the collection.

To participate in the hop all you have to do is visit The House That Stamps Built blog and the blogs of all the Rock Stars listed there. On each blog you will find a key letter. After you collect all the letters, use the letters to create the proper word and then email it to Wendy to be eligible for the blog candy.
Find Repeat Impressions blog here:   http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com
My letter for you is… I
You must complete the hop and email Wendy(wendy@repeatimpressions.com)the correct word no later than 5pm eastern time on Monday, July 11th. The blog candy for this hop… an unmounted sheet of the new "Holy Crap!" stamps! Wendy will announce the winner on Tuesday, July 12th on Repeat Impressions' Facebook page so please be sure to "Like" and follow them there if you don't already.

Have fun doing the hop and good luck!
