Count Your Blessings by Repeat Impressions

Count your blessings... name them one by one.  Count your blessings.... see what God has done.  I have loved that song since I was a little kid!  Even when going thru some really hard times, counting our blessings is a good thing and lightens the burdens we might be carrying.  Thanking someone for helping you along the way is such a joy giver.

Thank you Patti for choosing this as the theme for this challenge from Repeat Impressions.  Here is my card.

First of all, I love this Dragonfly image - Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions hit it out of the park with elegance and style when she drew this one.  The wings are so delicate and finely detailed.  Here I stamped it on vellum and heat embossed it along with the Thanks So Much sentiment.  Then framed it in a shiny sliver of gold card stock.  The background is an experiment in metallic paints.

Who's on board with me to show some thanks to someone they love or just gratitude?  Why don't you join us? You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

You might want to check out what these Rock Star Designers have created to inspire you.  Good luck - and I'm looking forward to seeing your projects.

Thanks for looking at my card.

Yep...we sang that song in Sunday School too and it was my grandmother's "tool", she would sing it to us when we were small and complaining about things. When I read your words, her voice came singing it to me...loved it.

All that said...your card is stunning! I love the dragonfly and stamping it on the vellumn really enhances your gorgeous bg.

Fabulous card Joy, the background is stunning and I like how it shows through the vellum! Great embellishing too, like that the dragonfly is the focal point.

Ironically, we'd sung that song in church just before I chose the theme! Great job on the challenge, Joy! Thanks for the inspiration!
