LITTLE PAPER SHOP CHALLENGE 99

Please scroll down one for the REPEAT IMPRESSIONS post -- thank you! ;)

GOOD MORNING!  This post starts out with a little sad news.  The Little Paper Shop store will be closing. After much deliberation, the owner, Julia, has decided that her plate is just too full to keep the business going. I totally understand her decision to put her family first.  We appreciate Julia and Pam and the whole DT and we are really going to miss you, your stamps and all the fun we have each week with the challenges.

DON'T FORGET: Everything in the store is still 40% off . EVERYTHING MUST GO so check it out before you miss out.

Here is our last challenge and that was to make a square card.
I used some silver card stock and the sentiment stamp is from Snow Flakes.  It has 9 images and sentiments - not just for Christmas.

As a good-by the Design Team is doing a review of some of their projects - here are a few of mine -

Lily and Lucy Messages

Chirp

Tweet Wishes
Construction

Flyin By Coasters

Young at Heart
Here are the other Design Team Members - check out what they have to show you.  Pam is going to give up to 3 digis to someone who comments on the blogs!  Good Luck!

REPEAT IMPRESSIONS CHAMPAGNE TIME!!

WOW! Christmas is just a few days away!  As soon as I get rested up from Christmas, we have New Years!  My DH and I have an anniversary coming up on December 30th, we usually celebrate on New Years.  We will be married 41 years!  Yikes, where did all our days go?

I made this card thinking about New Years, but the sentiment I paired it with could be for a birthday, or graduation, -- or reaching 21!  I made it a square - and I'm liking square cards.

The stamp is Champagne Bottle and the sentiment is from Quartet Compliments.  I used some Ultra  Thick Embossing Enamel on the bottles and it looks like glass.  My sweet sister gave it to me as a present!  She is such a sweetie to think of things I'd like to try.    Then I cut them out and used some pop dots to give some added dimension.

You can order this stamp at 50% when you go to the House that Stamps Built Blog and get the special code there.  Put that code in the "special instructions" blank when you order.

CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Carolina at Stamp TV invited us to participate in a Blog Hop.  So if you have just come from Jen Charboneau's blog, then you are right on target.  Didn't you just love that stocking!

With just a few Christmas cards left to be made, I'm taking every opportunity I can to get them done so this one is one of the last ones.

Here is our inspiration.  The sketch is one of Melissa Cash's.
Here is my card:
I used Gina K Designs, Pure Luxury White, Pure Luxury Lipstick Red card stocks, the stamp I used was Heirloom Ornament, the poinsettias are flocked and the tiny gold brads are from Gina K, other elements are the gold cardstock, a red Copic marker and some gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

Now you have seen my card take a look at Karen Knegten, she always has wonderful projects and I know you will just love what she has done.  After you finish looking at the other designers, leave a comment at Stamp TV.

Stamp of the Week - The Divi Divi Tree

Wendy always has such great stamps for us to showcase for the Stamp of the Week.  This week she choose the Divi Divi Tree.

I had never head of this tree, so I did a little research.  This tree is almost a national symbol for Aruba.  It is an evergreen that grows up to 30 feet tall.  In Aruba the limbs almost always point west because of the trade winds that blow over the islands.  Wendy and her husband spend 2 weeks during this time of the year vacationing there --- Wish I was there with them!

Ok, here's my card - pretty simple.  I did a little masking and sponging and then stamped the tree on white cardstock layered over brown cardstock.  I then pop dotted a sentiment.  I had a hard time deciding which one to use, but like this one the best.  Repeat Impressions has the greatest choices of sentiments especially in the series called Quartet Compliments.

Here's the scoop on how you can get this stamp at 50% off
1.  Go to the blog The House That Stamps Built and get the 50% off code for the week. Then place your order at Repeat Impressions.
2.  When you order this stamp remember to receive your special discount please be sure to reference the discount code in the Special Instructions section of the online order form.
