Happy Father's Day from Repeat Impressions

It's Wednesday and this is the time of the month that a Designer from Repeat Impressions issues us a challenge of her choice.  This time it is Lynette -- check out her blog.  She is a very talented lady and I know you will be inspired.  Lynette challenged us to make a Father's Day Card using texture.  She encouraged us to emboss, use flower soft, glitter -- anything that adds texture to our project.  So... here is my card:

To create the texture I embossed the green background with a Cuttlebug folder - after I gave it a squirt or two of gold Shimmer Spritz from Tsukineko.  It makes the cardstock a little damp which makes the embossing a little deeper.  I used some heavy twine thread to add more texture and roughed up the edges of my paper.

Here are the other members of the Design Team and their projects.  Stop by and be inspired - and be sure to leave them a little luv!
Don't forget to communicate with your Dad if you can on Father's Day.

Have a HAPPY Stamping day.

The feature card is a work of art so much love have been pour over in that creation. I can only assume that your husband/dad is your own inspiration. This time of year we focus our attention in giving honor to our Dads. I love you Dad

Awesome, Joy! Love the embossing and the colors. Those kraft tags with the letters are very cool.

I struggle doing "manly" cards so I appreciate this one!
