Repeat Impression Blog Hop

Good Morning!  Wow!  You are in for a treat!  Repeat Impressions is having a special blog hop to show off Wendy's latest stamp sets - they are all the really popular large sentiments.  Here is my card - well card set:

The large sentiments make it so easy - this card set only took a few minutes.  I used the Thanks sentiment set.  Take a look at all the sets under the title called Cling Sets.   How would you like to win one of these sets?  All you have to do is comment on the blogs of the Design Team. So each comment left will count as one entry. The more blogs you visit and comment on, the more you will increase your chances to win. Leave a comment on the Repeat Impressions blog and all 7 of the DT blogs and they get 8 entries... Comment on only 4 blogs and earn only 4 chances to win, etc.

Our readers must complete the hop by commenting on each Rock Star Designer's project and Repeat Impression's blog and post their comments no later than 5pm Eastern Time on Sunday, November 15th. We will be giving away blog candy to two lucky hoppers! We will be awarding 1 unmounted word set of choice to one individual who comments on at least 4 blogs. And we will be awarding one other lucky individual ALL 4 of the unmounted word sets if they comment on the RI blog and all 7 of the design team blogs.

Golden Merry Christmas

Good Morning!  Joy here today showing you a really quick elegant card -- it's is quick I promise!
The supplies for this card are from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

I used the Spellbinders large and medium dies from the set called Decorative Labels Eight and the small, medium and large die from Spellbinders Labels Eight to cut out the dies using that beautiful Gold Mirricard.  This is a gorgeous shiny gold.  Each layer was popped up with Large Joy Foam Pads.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from JustRite's Noel Christmas Ornaments and was heat embossed using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Fine Gold Detail embossing powder.  The teal blue snowflake paper is from Candy Cane Lane by Bo Bunny.

Easy and quick - have a happy stamping day!

Repeat Impression's Focus on the Sentiment Challenge.

Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions has challenged us to "Focus on the Sentiment".  So here is my card:

I just love this sentiment!  This card is going to my stamping buddy, my sister.  We don't live in the same town, but get together often just to stamp and make cards.

This one uses the 12 Days of Christmas - Stamper's Style.  Check out the Christmas for Stampers category - there are lots and lots of stamps just for stampers.

Now for the rest of the challenge.  What would you do with this Sentiment challenge?  We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  Just use a sentiment as the focus in your design.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Here is the list of Rock Star Designers who have made something to inspire you.  Good luck - and I'm looking forward to see your projects.

Merry Christmas

Good morning friends.  Today our challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such will be to make a project with stockings or mittens with red and white and a touch of green.

Here is my card(s)

I die cut the Stocking Garland from Poppy Stamps but just used the stocking part and paper from the 6x6 pads called Mistletoe Collection by Bo Bunny and Home Sweet Home from Graphic 45.  The stockings were popped up with Small Joy Foam Pads.  The Merry Christmas from Christmas Joy by Sweet 'n Sassy was heat embossed using White Detail Embossing powder by Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.  These cards are just little hand out cards for friends that measure 4.25 x 4.25 so I made some little envelopes to go with them with my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

How would you add a some stockings or mittens to your project?  Now, it's your turn to show us what you would do with Classy Card 'n Such's Mitten/Stocking Challenge.  We would love to see what you would do with this challenge.  Just go to Classy Cards 'n Such Blogspot.com and look at the details for the challenge.  Then link your project there or here.  You could be the winner of a nice prize!

Fall Thank You

Is it fall yet?  The Classy Cards 'n Such online store has some beautiful papers that show how beautiful fall colors are.  Here is a card I made with some of my favorite papers called Harvest Lane and Pumpkin Spice by Simple Stories.  The sentiment and scalloped center stamp is from Floral Fan Elements by JustRite.

The bottom half of the card was embossed with the Anna Griffin folder called Smitten.  My favorite part of the card is the upper half which comes from the Harvest Lane pad.  It has several pages of 3x6 elements.  This one was trimmed to fit my card base.  The layer medallion was cut with two dies from Blueprints 13 by My Favorite Things and the scallop border is from Blueprints 3 by My Favorite Things.  The medallion was popped up with Large Joy Foam Pads.

Here's hoping fall is coming soon near you - while you wait looking at the many pretty fall colored papers at Classy Cards 'n Such can keep you dreaming that fall is right around the corner.

Repeat Impression's Project of the Week

This week for the Project of the Week from Repeat Impressions, I'll be showing how to make a book-type gift tag using Repeat Impressions Dies.

For this project we will be using the Flip Stitch Die Set that is the square.  You can use any die for this project, but the stamps I will be using fit perfectly on the 1 7/8 stitched square.

The other supplies we need are
1. some kind of scoring board
2. scoring tool
3. removable tape or painter's tape
4. die cutting machine

First score your card stock to fit the die you have chosen.
Then place the folded card stock on the die with the cutting edge of die right above the fold, but the stitching right below the fold.

This is backside with die edge above fold

Run thru your die cutting machine and open your little book type gift tag, stamp and color.  Because I wanted to use the Peace sentiment, I stamped it on the diagonal with a stamp positioner and added a little Snowflake.  Hopefully the Penguin and Do Not Open till Christmas will keep my grandkids out of their presents till Christmas.

Then I took out my Spica Glitter Pens and colored each gift tag and stamped Merry Christmas Wishes from the Snowglobes & Ornaments series on the inside and added a little string to tape onto the packages.

Below is my finished Book Type gift tags:

This was a fun and quick tag to make and the Spica Glitter Pens add just the right bling.

Thanks for looking at my Project of the Week.  Have a Happy Stamping Day

Season's Beauty

Good Morning Friends!  Is it snow yet?  Not in Texas for sure!  - But we can dream can't we?  This card was made using supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.  There are some AMAZING images and sentiments that will make the snow season seem not so far away.

I used a stencil called Winter Snowflake Lace by Memory Box and my Mini Ink Blending Tool and 3 colors of blue to color the background.  The sentiment is called Christmas Joy by Sweet 'n Sassy.  The tiny snowflake is from Twinkles by Impression Obsession.  The frame is a die cut by JustRite called Nested Medallion Label.  I thought it sort of looked like a snowflake.  I doubled up on some Large Joy Foam Pads to the back and it just popped up beautifully.

Well, here's to hoping snow is your future soon!  Thanks for looking at my card.

My Best Friends

Good Morning!  I love the challenge today at Classy Cards 'n Such - it's all about sweetness and friends.  We are to add a bird or squirrel to our project.  This sweet image is from Twinkles by Impression Obsession.  The background was done with a partial embossing technique using a folder called Smitten by Anna Griffin - one of my favorites!

I used a few copics to color it and then added Wink of Stella over the Snowman and on the snow underneath him.  I guess I could add that Wink of Stella to every card!  It really makes projects just a little extra special.

Now, it's your turn to show us what you would do with Classy Card 'n Such's Squirrel-y Friends Challenge.  We would love to see what you would do with this challenge.  Just go to Classy Cards 'n Such Blogspot.com and look at the details for the challenge.  Then link your project there or here.  You could be the winner of a nice prize!

Link your creation below to be entered to win a prize from the Classy Cards 'n Such online shop!  Please be sure to follow all of the requirements above to be eligible.

Heartfelt Thanks

Good Morning!  Today I wanted to show you a card I made using supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store and the Blueprints 3 die set from My Favorite Things - and actually ended up using Blueprints 13  and Classic Ribbons by Memory Box.

The sentiment is from Impression Obsession called Thanks Sentiments.  The little buttons are from the Blueprints 3 with a coat of Glossy Accents on top.  The buttons were popped up using my favorite small Joy Foam Pads.  The paper is from Graphic 45's 6x6 pad, Home Sweet Home.  This is such a bright and happy paper.  This was a fun, fun card to make and I have enough ribbons and flags to incorporate into another card which I will post soon.

Thanks for looking at my card -- Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Christmas Blessings

Good Morning, friends!  For the next few weeks I will be making my Christmas cards with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.

The paper is from KaiserCraft.  The little washy-tape looking tags are from Blueprints 13.  The leaves were coated with glossy accents.  The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy's Christmas Joy.  I like the size because it fit perfectly on my die cut.  I popped up the sentiments and the leaves with Small Joy Foam Pads.

Now - have to get back to my desk to make a few more Christmas cards.  Thanks for stopping - have a Happy Stamping Day.

Pumpkin Time

Hello friends, Today it's my turn to issue a challenge for Repeat Impressions' Designer's Choice Challenge.  I thought this would be a good time to make pumpkin cards!  So here is mine

I think this is called a tri-fold card.  I used the Happy Halloween sentiment, Jack-o-lantern cat and the tall pumpkin - which by the way has lots of different faces you can stamp onto the pumpkin - so cute!  The grass is called grass border and fit perfectly on the edge.

What would you do with this challenge?  We would love to see what you would do - Remember it does not have to be a card - you can make a layout or a 3-D project.  Just use pumpkins somewhere in your design.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, you name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Check out Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built for the complete guidelines and link your project there.

Riding Pretty

It's Joy here today showing you a fall card I made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.  In Texas we may be playing fall football -- but the heat is still hanging on.

The base of the shaker card is designer paper from the 12x12 paper pad called Key to My Heart by Heartfelt Creations.  The brown print is from the 6x6 pad called Harvest Lane by Simple Stories.  The bicycle is from the stamp set called Riding Pretty by Impression Obsession and colored with copics.  It was die cut with the companion die called Bicycle.  Acetate was used for the window and attached by doubling up on some Joy Foam Pads and putting them between the window and the card base.  Those foam pads are wonderful to making the windows.

I hope fall is in the air where you are.  Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a happy stamping day!

Cardinal Greetings

Good morning, Joy here today.  This week I'm trying to get a head start on Christmas cards with supplies at the  Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.

Here is my card with a few supplies from the store.

Don't you just love this plaid?  I love the little cardinal and used it as my inspiration.  The paper is from Graphic 45 and called 12 Days of Christmas, the cardinal image is Christmas Joy by Sweet 'n Sassy and the sentiment is from .Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments.  This is a wonderful stamp set that has many small sentiments that are perfect for small spaces.

Why not take this opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas card stash - I heard the other day it's only 100 days till Christmas - I'd better get busy!

Have a Happy stamping day!
