Melanie Muenchinger's Scrap Challenge

Melanie issued a challenge to make a project with the stuff on your desk.  I'm one of those who cleans up most times after each card, soooo there wasn't much on my desk.  I did take my "scrap box", colored card stock scraps and ribbon scrap bag to make a card.  I used only scraps except for my stamp.  The ribbon was a scrap of ribbon left over from my daughter's wedding.

Go check out Melanie's blog and then make a project and link it to her Mr. Linky.  There is a prize for the winner!  You can get a few extra points for using Gina K Designs Stamps.   Melanie -- thanks for a fun challenge!

Here are my scraps.

Creative Belli Challenge #87

The Creative Belli Challenge this week had two elements to it.  We had a sketch to follow and then we had to use paper clips, library clips or swirly clips.  I LOVE clips.  At the office everyone has fun seeing what clips will be circulating around.  They all know who to come to when they want a special clip!

Here is what you need to do to play along with us!
1. Anyone Can Play! Spread the Word! :) Challenge a friend to play with you.
2. Make a completed project/card with anything with a CLIP AND THE SKETCH... Grab something you have had lying around for ages! It could be ANY kind of CLIP!
3. Share the link here in the comments linking to Mr. Linky -
CBC87. When you post to Splitcoaststampers or to your blog, be sure and put CBC87 as the KEYWORD and mention of the challenge - with a link!

So on with the details.  Here is the sketch
 Here is the card:

Paper:  Melissa Francis dp, Stampin Up Green and purple cardstock, Gina K Designs Pure Luxury White cardstock

Card Patterns Sketch 55

I've been making Easter cards and Card Patterns gave me a good reason to make another.  This sketch seemed complicated at first, but when I got my paper out.  It was easy. I love the color lavender.  The hardest decision was which ones to use.

This week Little Paper Shop is sponsoring a $20.00 gift certificate to one randon participant.  Go to Card Patterns Mr. Linky and enter your card!  I'm hoping my number is picked, they have some neat stamps.

Here is the sketch

Repeat Impressions Stamp

Today I wanted to show a stamp I've had for a while but decided to use.  It is from a company called Repeat Impressions.  They have some great images!  Check out their site here.  You will be pleasantly surprised.  I'm impressed with the quality.

Here is the stamp

It can be stamped, cut out and folded or stamped with a mask on the lower bottom part.  I stamped it and cut it out.  I think I want to try using this as an invitation.  You can use either side. One side has some scroll work at the top of each frame, the other side doesn't

Here is the gift card I made and I also made a little envolope to go with it.

The paper is from Papertrey Ink and  a little miscellaneous scrap for the envelope.  I used stamps from Papertrey Ink and Clear Art Stamps and a copic marker.  Look for some other projects using this really neat stamp.

CUTTLEBUG AND DIE STORAGE

I'm not an organization freak, but because of where I need to stamp I have to be neat and organized.  I found a new way to store my Cuttlebug folders and dies.  Here it is:

Supplies:
Gina K Designs Binder Boxes
Gina K Designs Binder Sheets.  These come 4 to a package.
Avery Pocket Tabs - These come in two sizes.
These I bought at Office Depot - they are a new product.  There were on sale - buy one get one free.

Here is the back of the Pocket Tab.

The back of the Pocket Tabs have a very sticky peel off tape.  Peel these off and then adhere them to the Gina K Designs Binder Sheets, using both the back and front.  The  Avery Pocket Tabs have small blue tabs that make them perfect for writing the name of the die or folder.

The tabs are clear and you can see folders and dies very clearly.  Make sure the opening to the tab pocket is on the opposite of the ring holes.  Otherwise it would be a little tricky opening the pocket to get the folder or dies out.

I used a Binder Box for the Cuttlebug folders and another one for the Dies.
