Anything Goes Challenge

Hello, friends!  Today is Anything Goes Challenge.  These are wonderful time to experiment or an opportunity to use a new technique you've learned.

I needed to make 30 little small thank you tokens that I leave with people on my way to California each year.  I give them to the flight attendants, pilots or anyone else who helps me along the way.  So this is what I made:

They are little tea bag holders.  They hold two tea bags.  I used the sentiment called Thanks So Much from the Quartet Compliments Series and the little Heart Tea Cup.  I used the sentiment on one side and the little tea cup on the other.

Why not join us this week in the challenge --- you could win the $25.00 gift certificate that Wendy is offering in a random drawing. You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Pick of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Today Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions is allowing me pick a few stamps to feature -- I was so excited to do this because I was fortunate enough to attend The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape and while there I got some inspiration from a demonstration of envelope art by Nola Chandler.

Here are the supplies you will need

envelopes
fine line ink pen
your favorite ink - I used Memento
your favorite coloring medium
  (markers or pens or pencils)
stamps of your choice

Here are the stamps I used:

Raccoon
Beaver
Morning Glories
Stencil Bouquet
and
Nap Time Fairy

I quickly stamped these on the front of the envelopes and colored with different pens and markers.  If I wanted to make the stamp look like it was peeking from behind the address, I just used a simple mask from some typing paper

 Here are the envelopes:

Then I drew a simple box with a fine line pen where the address would go.  I didn't try to make it look perfect - in fact I kinda accented that the lines were not straight.

These are so much fun - and quick, quick, quick to make.  Thanks again to Nola Chandler for her inspiration.  And thank you for looking at my project.

Anything Goes Challenge

Good Morning Friends!  It's a great day!  It's a great day for an Anything Goes Challenge from Repeat Impressions!  I love these challenges.  I get to use up extra stamped images or extra backgrounds I've made or even extra die cuts!  So here is my card
I made a window card by using a previously ink blended background, die cut a circle and added a circle of acetate - you can see a little of the glare. I stamped in black ink the sentiment from the Hello Set from the Unmounted Series.  Lots and lots of words for a variety of sayings in this set.    In the corner you can see from the inset the Sunflower image and sentiment called You are my Sunshine.  I love this happy image.

Designers Choice Challenge

Good Morning friends!  Today Laurie, one of the Repeat Impressions Rock Stars has challenged us to use a stencil on a project!  You ready?  Here we go with mine:

Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions

Hi stamping friends.  Today I'd like to share with you a "PROJECT".  Today it's a little bit of organization and a little stamping and lots of card made!

So here's what I do.  When I stamp - I stamp multiple images - sometimes I color them all at once, sometimes just as I need them.  But any extras that I'm not using right away goes in this clear refrigerator/storage bin.

I use the clear bin because I can see it and it stays out on my desk that way I endeavor to used these already stamped/colored images first,

When I watercolor, die cut or stamp backgrounds, I do multiple copies.  Then I put them in this little storage book.  The storage book is small - on purpose.  If I get too many, I get overwhelmed.  So I only keep a few and cull the rest.

So today, I was able to put 3 cards together in about 15-20 minutes because everything was already done - I just need to put on pop dots or tape runner.

Supplies for these 3 cards

A birthday is.....
Thanks a latte
Coffee Cup
Spring is.....
Grass Border
Duckling
Large Wavy Oval Frame

Thanks for looking at my project.  Hope this encourages you to stamp, color and paint a few extras the next time you sit down to play!

Tic Tac Toe Time!

Today at Repeat Impressions, it is Tic Tac Toe Challenge Time -- Remember you can do a card, a layout, scrapbook page, a little journal - or even a 3D project - just as long as you use one of the grids on the Tic Tac Toe illustration.
I made a card - because I've got a lot of Spring/Easter cards to make.  As I was making this one  it morphed into a baby card!  hahahaha!  Does that every happen to you when you are making a card?  This one will go to my granddaughter who just had her 2nd child - my 2nd great grand child.  The grid I used was Pink/Blue, Babies and Buttons.
Here is what I used:

Grass Border
Tiny Bird front
Tiny Bird flight
Just Hatched
Welcome Little One sentiment

The Welcome Little One sentiment comes from a series called Quartet Complement Sentiments - one of the BEST sentiment sets around.  So many occasions are in the this pretty font set.  I think this was the first set I got from Repeat Impressions.

This would be a good week to join in the challenge --- you could win the $25.00 gift certificate that Wendy is offering in a random drawing. You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do, your name will be entered twice (2x) for a random drawing for a really nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.
